Objective: Based on the study of acupuncture treatment of peripheral facial paralysis, find out the effect of three different stimulation parameters on clinical treatment by setting groups with different parameters(acute phase control group, acute phase light stimulation group, and acute phase conventional stimulation group). Methods:Divide 90 eligible patients(3 cases fell off)randomly into 3 groups, the conventional stimulation group(28 patients),the light stimulation group(30 patients),and the control group(29 patients),and evaluate the results by the concentration of HB,FDI and the facial symptoms score.Collect the data at enrollment,at the first, the second.Compare the data in different periods for the efficacy and evaluation indicators, and analyze the correlation between different acupuncture stimulation quantities and therapeutic effects. Moreover, use different methods to statistics: univariate statistics for those that meet the normal distribution and homogeneity of variance;chi-square test for count data;non-parametric test for ordinal data and measurement data that do not meet the normal distribution;Bonferroni method for unplanned comparison;and the hypothesis test setting was statistically significant at P <0.05.Results: Analyse the factors: the H-B,facial symptom score,FDIp,and FDIs,in each group, which shows the effectiveness of the data(P<0.05).Compare among groups. After the first courses of treatment, the effect of the conventional stimulation group and the improvement of facial symptom score were significantly better than control group(P < 0.05).After the second courses of treatment, the effect of the conventional stimulation group and the improvement of facial symptom score were significantly better than light stimulation group(P<0.05).The symptoms of the patients in the three groups were exacerbated during the treatment. However, there is not statistically significant in three groups by statistical analysis(P>0.05).Conclusions: The three groups have significant effects on peripheral facial paralysis. It suppresses patients ’facial symptoms and facial functions on the affected side, improves patients’ life quality and reduces the risk of depression. In the first courses of treatment, the facial symptom score of conventional stimulation group were better than the control group. In the first and second courses of treatment, the effect of the normal stimulation group was better than the light stimulation group. There is no evidence that the amount of acupuncture stimulation is related to the exacerbation of symptoms after treatment.
