Objective:A case-control study was conducted to investigate the association between body mass index, lipid components(TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C),fasting blood glucose, and serum uric acid levels in colorectal cancer. Methods:Retrospectively collected the medical records of patients who underwent colonoscopy in the second affiliated hospital of Shanxi Medical University from January2017 to December 2018,and were divided into two groups according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria: 76 cases in the colorectal cancer group,80 cases in the control group. The general clinical data and body mass index, fasting blood glucose, blood lipid components, blood uric acid level, etc.were collected from the selected patients, and the body mass index, blood lipid components, and fasting blood glucose were compared between the colorectal cancer group and the control group.Analyze the relationship between body mass index, blood lipid components, blood glucose, blood uric acid and colorectal cancer. The data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 19.0 software for each set of data. Results:The BMI,serum TC,TG,LDL-C,UA and FBG in the colorectal cancer group were higher than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the serum HDL-C was lower than the control group(P<0.05).The composition of high BMI,high TC,high TG,low HDL-C,high FBG,and high UA abnormalities in colorectal cancer group were higher than that in the control group, andthe difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),while in high LDL-C,there was no difference between the colorectal cancer group and the control group(P>0.05).Logistic analysis showed that the risk factors for colorectal cancer include overweight or obesity, high TC,high FBG,high UA,high TG,high LDL-C and low HDL-C.(P<0.05)Conclusion:Overweight or obesity, abnormal blood lipids, blood glucose, and blood uric acid levels are associated with the development of colorectal cancer. The risk factors for colorectal cancer include overweight or obesity, high TC,high FBG,high UA,high TG,high LDL-C and low HDL-C.
