Medical Social Work Intervention Study Of Parents’ Interactive Participation For Pediatric Patients With Leukemia Safety

Because of the particularity of pediatric patients,they can’t accurately express their wishes and participate in decision-making in the process of receiving treatment.During the treatment of pediatric patients,as legal guardians,parents were playing a crucial role for pediatric patients’ safety.This study showed that parents of pediatric patients have a strong need for interactive participation for pediatric patients’ safety,and are more anxious and sensitive to the uncertainty of the disease.However,due to the limitations of medical institutions and related human resources in China,so far,the medical practice of interactive participation of parents and medical staff was relatively insufficient,and there were fewer related studies.Above all,this research relied on the medical social work internship in Children’s hospital of N,through the medical social worker intervention service,to promote the interaction between parents and medical staff to improve the ability of parents’ participation for pediatric patients safety.In this study,50 parents of pediatric patients with leukemia in Children’s Hospital of N were selected as survey respondents,and questionnaires and interviews were conducted to understand the status of their interactive participation for pediatric patients’ safety.According to the results of the survey,16 parents of pediatric patients with leukemia were randomly selected as subjects,and 16 subjects were randomly divided into intervention group and control group.The group work of medical social work worked on the intervention group and then compared the intervention effect with the control group.The author used quantitative and qualitative research methods to analyze the effectiveness of intervention results.Quantitative results showed that the intervention group had statistically significant differences in the degree of change in the cognitive,behavioral,and diseaseinvolvement of the participants for pediatric patients with Leukemia safety comparing with the control group.The intervention service has achieved significant positive results;Qualitative research showed that intervention services helped parents learn about the knowledge of pediatric patients’ safety,leukemia and care,so that they could treated children’s safety with the right attitude,and then interacted with medical staff in a timely and rational manner.This study believes that it is necessary,feasible and innovative for medical social workers to provide intervention services that help pediatric patients’ parents engage in interactive participation;There were good results that parents’ interactive participation for pediatric patients with leukemia safety of medical social work intervention;This study provided a new practice and research sample for medical social work intervention of parents’ interactive participation for pediatric patients safety,and had certain reference and reference value for the practice and research of medical social work in related fields.
