Background:Doctors’ job burnout is a hot social issue.Previous studies focused on these aspects:the degree of doctors’ burnout in general hospitals, the influencing factors of job burnout and the impact of burnout on the provision of medical services. However, there is less specific study on the job burnout of paediatricians and obstetricians in maternal and child health care hospitals. With the implementation of the comprehensive two-child policy, paediatricians and obstetricians in maternal and child health hospitals may face a more serious job burnout crisis. Objective:China has been committed to establishing a strong maternal and child health care system in the past two decades, but there is no research on job burnout among medical professionals who provide medical services for these patients. This research aims to address this gap in the literature and further understand the challenges faced by maternal and child health centers in providing quality medical services for mothers and children.Method:On the basis of the existing literature data, researchers used the meta method as an effect to analyze the influencing factors of Chinese physicians’ occupational burnout, analyze the research status, and explore the real differences in gender, marriage, professional title, department and other aspects.Based on the characteristics of the included literatures, the standardized mean difference was selected as the effect quantity, and the random effect model was used to merge the effect quantity. When the heterogeneity of the included studies was relatively large,Begg rank correlation test and Egger linear regression method were adopted to examine the publication bias, and the influencing factors of the heterogeneity of the included studies were explored through the meta regression method.Based on the previous literature analysis and meta analysis, the research group conducted further empirical research on the physicians who faced the threat of occupational burnout.Then,11 Provincial Maternal and child health hospitals were investigated by cross-sectional survey.Through single factor analysis, multiple regression analysis and other statistical methods, this paper analyzed the influence of individual personality characteristics,doctor-patient relationship and family support of doctors on occupational burnout.Results:1.The effect of gender differences on emotional exhaustion and dehumanization was statistically significant, and there was no statistical significance on the combined effect in the dimension of low sense of achievement. The emotional exhaustion of male doctors was significantly higher than that of female doctors;the dehumanization level of male doctors was significantly higher than that of female doctors.2.Marriage status has significant effect on the emotional exhaustion and dehumanization dimension of doctors, but there is no significant difference in the dimension of low sense of achievement. The emotional exhaustion of married doctors is significantly higher than that of unmarried doctors.3.Professional Title(junior-intermediate)has significant effect on physician’s emotional exhaustion and dehumanization, but there is no statistical significance in three professional title groups of low sense of achievement. In the dimension of emotional exhaustion, the emotional exhaustion of primary physician is slightly lower than that of intermediate physician;in the dimension of dehumanization, the dehumanization level of primary physician is slightly lower than that of intermediate physician.4.The difference between CMBI and MBI-HSS is the main reason for the heterogeneity of previous studies on job burnout among Chinese physicians.5.The occupational burnout rate of Obstetricians and pediatricians in Provincial Maternal and child health hospitals reached 56.6%,reached a high level in emotional exhaustion and low sense of achievement, and reached a moderate level in dehumanization.6.73% of pediatricians and obstetricians worked more than 50 hours a week.Excessive medical workload aggravated doctors’ job burnout.Poor doctor-patient relationship has a significant positive predictive effect on job burnout, and family support has a certain mitigating effect on job burnout. Conclusion :1.The current situation of occupational burnout among pediatric and obstetrician groups in maternal and child health care institutions is not good, which deserves attention. For different types of doctors,we should take targeted interventions according to their characteristics.2.Reducing doctors’ workload, enhancing the harmony between doctors and patients, and improving the level of family support can alleviate doctors’ job burnout.3.The different survey tools will directly affect the results of the job burnout survey. We should further strengthen the research of authoritative job burnout survey tools for Chinese physicians.
