Burnout is a new topic in recent years. In the past two or three decades,job burnout has become the hot issue in the field of organization behaviour and human resource management in the western countries. In China,the study of burnout began very late and few practice studis were taken. Burnout refers to a group of negtive complicated symptoms owing to prolonged response to chronic stress on the job-for example feeling extremely tired, detesting work and feeling short of acheivements, which is defined by the three dimensions of exhaustion,cynicism and inefficacy. Burnout not only affects the individual's physical and mental health,interpersonal relationships,leads to the results of lacking of professional ethics of the individual, passive sabotage which affects the team,and even havs an adverse impact on social stability and national security.Mental health of the medical staff of is not only related to the patient's health and safety,but also affects the development of health services, as well as social harmony and progress. Owing to more sources of psychological stress, work pressure and other occupational characteristics,more attentions are paid to the issue of occupational burnout of medical staff. Literature at home and abroad indicate that the levels of medical and nursing staff burnout are higher. The results of literature retrieval of CNKI showed that there are more than a thousand articles about the staff burnout in enterprises in the literature databae,but few of them are about the medical staff in the enterprise hospitals.This study focused on investigating and analyzing the medical staff burnout conditon of employee 's burnout of enterprise hospital in Daqing City. By surveying the conditition of hospital staff burnout in different geographical regions,nature, level and hosptial scale,the burnout levels of the different groups were acknowledged in a deeper level, the problems and deficiencies were found timely and meticulous, and the causes were analyzed to provides references for the health care system, businesses,hospitals and other departments, promote the positive interaction between employees and enterprise, and to achieve the win-win between employees and enterprise.In this paper, 303 medical employees with different levels were selected as samples, which comes from seven different hosptials of different districts in Daqing City. They were special in medicine,surgery,outpatient,obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics. MBI questionnaire with better reliability and validity was used as an investigative tool,data were codified after being verified and inputed into databases by using the software of EpiData3.02 for Windows,and the SPSS13.0 statistical software were used for statistical analysis.The results showed that burnout average score of the female medical staff in three dimensions were higher than the male medical staff, women's level of emotional exhaustion and job burnout is higher than men's. Comparing with the other two age groups, the scores of over 40 years old age group in the three dimensions were significantly different with a higher degree of neglect, a lowest emotional exhaustion. Ones in post-graduate or higher group were with a highest degree of neglect and job burnout. Concerning marital status, there were significant differences in lower sense of achievement, idlness and occupational burnout dimensions. A married person was with a low sense of achievement, hiigher level of idlness and degree of job burnout. the medical staff who had taken their jobs for more than 21 years were with the lowest level of emotional exhaustion and the highest level of the work of neglect. Ones who had taken their jobs for less than 5 years had a significant diversity in three dimensions compared with other age groups and had a lowest average score in the dimension of accomplishment sense. The medical staff with levels higher than deputy professor had a higher level of idlness. The level of emotional exhaustion in nurses was higher than the staff in medical technology and management groups. The level of neglecting the job in medical technology group was lowest and levels of job burnout were low. The diversity between general staff and middle-level cadres in three dimensions was not statistical significant. The 3A enterprise hospitals had a highest degree of emotional exhaustion. The scores of low sense of achievement dimensions and emotional exhaustion dimension of community enterprises hospitals were the lowest.Through analysis,the factors leading to the employee's burnout were claritfied:The first one is enterprise factors, namely the contradiction between the maximizing the efficiency in enterprises and commonweal quality of medical industry,unsuitable condition of hospital in the system of enterprise management model and the imbalance of incentive mechanism.The second is social factors. Country's health care system is not yet perfect; the medical services are higher expected unpractically by the people; professional respect and understanding are not abained.The third one is occupational factors, namley heavier tasks, the long-term stress state and negative environments.The fourth one is personal factors, namely sexual orientation, age characteristics and traits.Finally, the following conclusions were reached in this paper:(1) Attentions from various aspects should be caused on the job burnout conditions of the medical staff in enterprise hospital of Daqing City.(2) According to the diveristy of hospital level and nature, the burnout levels of employees in enterprise hospital of Daqing City are also different. The staff in higher level hospital has a higher score of emotional exhaustion.(3) The enterprise hospital employees with different demographic variables, such as age, sex, marital status, education level, seniority, job, positions, have significant diversities in the three dimensions of job burnout.(4) To solve the problems of job burnout, it should be necessary for the community, organizations and individuals to work together. The group with a higher job burnout level should be paid more attentions.(5) The enterprise should has its preventive measures on the targeted issue of occupational burnout.(6) In the apect of research tools, job burnout questionnaire needed further refinement.(7) In the aspect of research method, in addition to the traditional questionnaire, experimental or quasi-experimental studies and long-term follow-up study should also be strengthen.
