Purpose:Guided bone regeneration(GBR)is commonly used in bone augmentation in dental implant, the combination of bone substitutes and absorbable membranes is a key principle to the success of this technique.Bone substitute materials include autologous bone, allograft bone, xenograft bone and synthetic bone were commonly used.In recent years,Auto-tooth bone graft(Auto-BT)has attracted greater attention as a new bone substitute material. The aim of this study is to compare the success and survival rates of dental implant, postoperative complications and the stability of bone plate on labial or buccal side of implant with GBR using Auto-BT and Bio-Oss,to explore the stability of Auto-BT as bone substitute material and lay a foundation for future prospective research.Materials and methods:11 patients who received dental implant with GBR from May2015 to Mar 2019 were evaluated, include a total of 21 implants.According to bone substitute materials, they were divided into the experimental group used Auto-BT and the control group used Bio-Oss.In our study,Auto-BT is maded from unreserved or impacted teeth, and it was processed in VacuaSonic~?System/DecalSi~?DM equipment. These patients were scanned by Cone Beam Computed Tomography(CBCT)at the day and 1 year after operation.Implant success and survival rate, postoperative complications were observed in the two groups.CBCT software was used to measure the thickness of labial or buccal side of implant at 0 mm,3 mm and 6 mm below the neck on the day and 1 year after surgery.SPSS 20.0 software is used to make statistical analysis. Results:The implant success and survival rate were 100%in both groups. Two groups of patients had different degrees of pain and swelling 3~7 days after the operation, but no complications of infection and wound debridement occurred. The bone resorption of0 mm,3 mm and 6 mm below the neck of implant in Auto-BT group were 1.54±1 mm,1.02±0.61 mm,1.28±0.88 mm,with the absorption rates were 48.94%,29.18%,34.14%respectively,and there was no statistical difference in the absorption rates of the 3sites(P>0.05);In Bio-Oss group, the bone resorption of 0 mm,3 mm and 6 mm below the neck of implant were 1.38±1.36 mm,1.42±0.93 mm,0.93±0.53 mm,with the absorption rates were 42.07%,32.45%,22.57%respectively and there was no statistical difference in the absorption rates of the 3 sites,too(P>0.05);There were no statistically significant differences in the absorption rates at 0 mm,3 mm and 6 mm of the implants 1 year after surgery between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Chairside preparation of Auto-BT after extraction can achieve good clinical effects in the short term as Bio-Oss after 1 year after dental implantation with GBR.Although there is a certain degree of bone absorption in both substitute materials,a certain thickness can be maintained in the short term.Auto-BT is expected to be a success bone substitute material in future clinical application due to its advantages of autologous tissue,no immune rejection, simple preparation and easy acceptance by patients.
