Clinical Study On The Quality Of Life In The Elderly Patients With Low Wrs Treated By Acupuncture-drug Combination Based On The Method Of Tonifying Spleen And Nourishing Kidney

Purpose:To evaluate the effect of the programme of clinical study on the qual ity of life in the elderly patients with low WRS treated by acupuncture-drug c ombination based on the method of tonifying spleen and nourishing kidney.In order to establish a sequential treatment of traditional Chinese and Western Me dicine for the elderly patients with low WRS.Methods:According to the diagnostic criteria of traditional Chinese and western medicine,the elderly patients with low WRS with otolaryngology deparment o f Affiliated hospital of Chengdu University of traditional Chinese Medicin-e,W angjiang Hospital of Sichuan University and Emeishan traditional Chinese Medi cine Hospital were collected from June 2017 to December 2019 who meets d iagnostic criteria for sensorineural deafness,and the speech recognition rate was≤80%,and the age was more than 60 years old.85 cases were finally complet ed,of which 45 were male and 40 were female.The study was done as a rand omized controlled trial.Patients were allowed to complete the CRF form and re lated tests before treatment and at 2,4,6 week after treatment.The pure tone hearing threshold,speech recognition rate and quality of life scale(SF-36)wer e used toevaluate the improvement of pure tone hearing threshold,speech reco gnition rate and quality of life after the treatment for the elderly patients with low WRS.SPSS 21.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the data res ults.Results:1.The treatment of "tonifying spleen and nourishing kidney" caneffectively improve the speech hearing threshold and speech recognition rate of the elderly patients with low WRS(P<0.05),and the acupuncture group(experimental group)is better than the acupuncture group(control group 1)and the traditional Chinese medicine group(control group 2)(P<0.05).2.The treatment method of "tonifying spleen and nourishing kidney" can effectively improve the quality of life of the elderly patients with low WRS.(P<0.05),The acupuncture group(experimental group)was better than the acupuncture group(control group 1)and the traditional Chinese medicine group(control group2)(P<0.05).3.The combination of the treatment method of " tonifying spleen and nourishing kidney " can improve the quality of life in five dimensions: overall health,social function,affective function,mental health and health changes.4.The total number of patients with low WRS was 85,of which 45 were male and 40 were female.By chi-square test,the baseline data of each group(including gender,affected ear side,hearing loss degree,speech recognition rate loss degree,etc.)were distributed evenly(P>0.05),and the statistical analysis was comparable.Conclusion:1.The combination of acupuncture and Chinese herbs based on the treatment method of "tonifying spleen and nourishing kidney " is effective in reducing the pure tone hearing threshold of the elderly patients with low WRS,and is better than that of acupuncture group and Chinese herbs group.2.The combination of acupuncture and Chinese herbs based on the treatment method of "tonifying spleen and nourishing kidney” is effective in speech recognition of the elderly patients with low WRS,and is better than that of acupuncture group and Chinese herbs group.3.The combination of acupuncture and Chinese herbs based on the treatment method of " tonifying spleen and nourishing kidney " can improve the quality of life of the elderly patients with low WRS,and is better than that of acupuncture group and Chinese herbs group.4.The combination of acupuncture and Chinese herbs based on the treatment method of" tonifying spleen and nourishing kidney " is effective for the elderly patients with low WRS in general health,social function,affective function,mental health and health changes.
