TCM syndrome total score:The total score of two groups of patients after treatment decreased than before treatment. There was a significant difference (R0.05). After treatment the treatment group and the control group were compared, there is a significant difference between them (P<0.01).2. TCM syndromes:The total effective rate of the test group94.74%,40.00%in the control group; The total efficiency difference between the two groups was significant(P<0.01).3. Lung function:In the treatment group all of the lung function indices were better than those before treatment, the lung function has improved significantly, and there was a significant difference (P<0.05). In the control group FEF25, FEF50, FEF75and MMEF75/25and the index reflecting the small airway function compared with those before treatment were better, there was a significant difference(P<0.05), while there was no significant difference in FEV1, FVC, FEV1decline rate and PEF which reflect airway function index and airway hyperresponsiveness index than those before treatment(P>0.05). Two groups being compared it was found that, in FEV1decline in the rate of improvement, the treatment group was superior to the control group, there was significant difference (P<0.05). Overall, the treatment group improved the lung function more effective than control group.4. Quality of life:Treatment and control groups both improved the quality of life aspects than before treatment. After treatment, there are significant differencies between two groups in activity limitation, asthma symptoms, psychological status, source of stimulation response and self-health care aspects than before treatment (P<0.05); there are differencies in control group in the activity limitation and asthma symptoms than pre-treatment (P<0.05), other aspects of the difference was not significant (P>0.05). Two groups being compared, it was found that in the psychological status, to a stimulus source reaction and self health care and overall score there is significant difference(P<0.05). Results suggest that treatment group improved the quality of life of patients better than control group.ConelusionTherapy of Regulating the spleen and nourishing the kidney has curative effect in the patients with asthma of difficiency of spleen and kidney which can not only relieve dyspnea, cough, chest tightness, acute seizure frequency and extent of such clinical symptoms, and also obviously improve lung function, reduce airway hyperresponsiveness, and in improving the quality of life of patients.Overall, the recent curative effect is better than that of simple western medicine treatment. There is no adverse reaction and it has clinical curative effect.
