Objective:To explore the correlation of maternal and umbilical artery cord blood activin A levels in acute fetal distress during labor,in order to provide a new basis for early diagnosis of fetal distress. Methods:From november 2017 to november 2018 totally 243 cases in obstetrics department in Anhui Province Maternal and Children-care Hospital were selected in study.According to the diagnostic criteria of acute fetal distress. They were divided into the fetal distress group(n=113)and control group(n=130)after regular contractions.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to measure the level of activin A in maternal and umbilical artery blood as well as umbilical arterial blood gas PH,PCO2,PO2and BE were measured by portable blood gas analyzer. The correlation between activin A and fetal distress was analyzed. To investigate the association between activin A and acute fetal distress.SPSS 23.0 was used for statistical analysis, and P<0.05was considered statistically significant.Results:1. There was no significant difference in maternal age, gestational age, gestationalhistory, number of umbilical cords around the neck, placental weight, newborn sex,and body weight(all P>0.05).2. The levels of activin A of maternal and umbilical artery blood was significant higher in the fetal distress than control group. The umbilical artery blood PCO2and BE level in the fetal distress group were significantly higher than those in the normal pregnant group, while the PH,PO2and newborn one min Apgar score were significantly lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(all P<0.05).3. Two groups the differences in delivery methods were statistically significant(P<0.05),Different delivery methods had no significant effect on the levels of activin A of maternal and umbilical artery blood(P>0.05).4. In the acute fetal distress group, maternal blood and umbilical artery serum activin Alevel were negatively correlated with newborn umbilical artery blood PH and PO2,and positively correlated with PCO2 and BE,with statistically significant differences.(all P<0.05).Conclusion:Activin A can be used as a sensitive serological indicator for the detection of acute fetal fetal distress. The determination of maternal blood activin A level before and during labor can help obstetricians predict and diagnose acute fetal distress, thereby reducing unnecessary cesarean sections caused by overdiagnosis and improving maternal and infant prognosis. |
