Objectives To investigate the memory function status of patients with type 2 diabetes based on the healthy ecological model, and to analysis the influential factors with two dimensions of prospective memory and retrospective memory in patients with type 2diabetes from the five aspects of personal trait, psychological and behavior characteristics, interpersonal networks, working and living conditions, and national economic and health policies,in order to further clarify the mechanism of each controllable influencing factor, develop a memory training strategy for patients with type2 diabetes to provide evidence for delaying aging process. Methods A convenient sampling method was used to select 226 inpatients with type 2diabetes in the endocrinology department of a ?-a hospital in Anhui province from February 2019 to October 2019.The general demographic and disease-related information questionnaire and the Prospective and Retrospective Memory Questionnaire(PRMQ),the Self-efficacy for Diabetes(SED),Profile of Mood States Short Form(POMS-SF),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),and Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS).Questionnaire surveys were conducted through the single factor analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were used in our cross-sectional survey,in order to explore the influencing factors of memory function in patients with type 2diabetes based on the health ecology model from five aspects.Results(1)The total memory function score of patients with type 2 diabetes was(43.77 ±15.73)points,the average prospective memory score was(23.78 ± 8.41)points,and the retrospective memory score was(19.99 ± 7.72)points.(2)The results of the single factor analysis showed that differences in prospective and retrospective memory scores of different genders, ages, education levels, duration of disease, number of complications, and hemoglobin A1 c were statistically significant(P<0.05);Prospective and retrospective memory scores were statistically significant in patients drinking history, previous exercise behavior, different sedentary time and sleep quality(P<0.05)at the aspect of personal traits;Pearson correlation analysis showed the scores of prospective and retrospective memory was significantly negatively correlated with social support, positive emotions, and self-efficacy,and significantly positively correlated with negative emotions(r=-0.365~0.335,P<0.01).(3)The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the factors affecting the patient's prospective memory function were age and self-efficacy,which explained 41.5% of the total variation(F = 8.601,P<0.001).Factors affecting the patient's retrospective memory function mainly include old age, course of disease, long sedentary behavior, and negative emotions. Finally,Model 4 can explain38.6% of the total variation(F =7.417,P<0.001).Conclusions The memory function in patients with type 2 diabetes is at a medium level,as well as prospective memory is more severely impaired than retrospective memory.Older age is a common factor affecting prospective and retrospective memory function in type 2 diabetic patients;self-efficacy is a positive predictive factor affecting prospective memory;disease course, sedentary behavior and negative emotion are negative predictive factors of retroactive memory function.Medical staff should incorporate prospective memory assessment and screening into secondary preventive health care, pay attention to early screening and risk assessment of memory function in patients with chronic diseases of high memory risk, and do early warning of cognitive impairment;combine modern information technology and professional rehabilitation knowledge to develop a mobile application that integrates memory function screening and rehabilitation guidance;and carry out comprehensive memory function rehabilitation training and cognitive reconstruction intervention strategies according to the common and specific risk factors of memory impairment to slow the process of cognitive impairment.
