ObjectiveWe aimed to explore the effect of Active Cycle of Breathing Techniques(ACBT)supplemented with emotional management on the quality of life of patients with lung cancer after surgery and the adjuvant clinical therapy, thereby providing clinical reference for rapid lung rehabilitation of patients with lung cancer.MethodsFrom March to October 2019,one hundred inpatients with non-small cell lung cancer in line with the inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected, and by convenient sampling, the patients were divided into control group(enrolled from March to June)and ACBT intervention group(enrolled from July to October),50 cases in each group. After video-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy, the control group was given the conventional lung rehabilitation training, the ACBT intervention group was given Active Cycle of Breathing Techniques supplemented with emotional management-based lung rehabilitation training.A portable lung function instrument was used to monitor the basic pulmonary function indicators of two groups of patients at preoperative, the first day after operation, the second day after operation, the third day after operation,at discharge, and 1month after discharge;the non-invasive pulse oximeter was used to monitor the blood oxygen saturation of two groups at preoperative, the first day after operation, the second day after operation and the third day after operation;the pain score scale was used to assess the subjective pain of the two groups of patients at preoperative, the first day after operation, the second day after operation and the third day after operation.Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS)in Chinese version was used to assess the anxiety and depression of the two groups of patients before surgery and at the third day after operation;the tubation time of thoracic drainage tube and the first sputum cough time after operation, inpatient days and general data on admission of the two groups of patients were recorded; The European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer-Quality of Life Questionnaire(EORTC QLQ-C30)was used to assess the quality of lifeand adverse clinical symptoms of the two groups of patients before surgery and at postoperative 1 month.SPSS 23.0 software was used for data processing and statistical analysis.Results1.There was no statistically significant difference in baseline data, lung function indexes, pulse oxygen saturation(SPO2),subjective pain scores,HADS scores, and quality of life scores between the two groups of patients before surgery(all P > 0.05).2.With regard to inter-group comparison of pulmonary function data,PEF of patients in the intervention group at discharge was higher than that of the control group;FEV1 /FVC and VC of patients in the intervention group at postoperative 1 month were significantly higher than those of the control group(all P < 0.05);with regard to intra-group comparison of pulmonary function data, compared with pre-operation,PEF at discharge was reduced,FEV1/FVC at postoperative 1 month was reduced,VC at postoperative 1 month was increased in two groups of patients(all P <0.05);repeated measurement data showed that the FEV1 interaction effect, grouping effect, and time effect of the two groups of patients were statistically significant(all P <0.05).3.Repeated measurement data showed that the SPO2 interaction effect and grouping effect of the two groups of patients were statistically significant(all P <0.05).Fixed time effect, and SPO2 of patients in the ACBT intervention group at postoperative 3 days were higher than the control group(all P <0.05).In terms of fixed grouping effect, compared with postoperative 3 days,SPO2 of patients in the ACBT intervention group before surgery,at postoperative 1 day,and postoperative 2 day was reduced,SPO2 of patients in the control group before surgery and at postoperative 2 day was increased, and the difference was statistically significant(all P <0.05).4.Repeated measurement data showed that the main effect of the pain score time of patients was statistically significant(all P <0.05).Compared with the afternoon of postoperative day 3,the pain score of patients on the morning of postoperative day 1and the afternoon of postoperative day 1 was increased and the difference was statistically significant(all P <0.05)5.With regard to intra-group comparison of HADS scores, the anxiety, depression and overall scores of the ACBT intervention group at the third day after operation were lower than those of the control group(all P <0.05).In terms of the intra-group comparison of HADS,compared with the preoperative period, the anxiety, depression, and overall scores of the two groups of patients at the third day after operation weredecreased, and the difference was statistically significant(all P <0.05).6.In terms of inter-group comparison of rapid postoperative rehabilitation indicators, the tubation time of thoracic drainage tube and the first sputum cough time after operation of patients in the ACBT intervention group were lower than those of the control group(all P <0.05).7.In terms of inter-group comparison of quality of life scores, physical, emotional, and social dimension scores of patients in ACBT intervention group were significantly higher than those of the control group(all P <0.05).In terms of intra-group comparison of quality of life scores, compared with the preoperative period, the scores of the ACBT intervention group were increased in all dimensions, the physical and social scores of the control group were increased, and the difference was statistically significant(all P <0.05)ConclusionACBT supplemented with emotional management for lung rehabilitation training can improve postoperative lung function indexes and pulse oxygen saturation indexes of patients, enhance the sputum excretion capacity of patients, reduce the postoperative pain level of patients, facilitate rapid postoperative rehabilitation of patients, and perfect the quality of life of patients.
