Clinical Observation Of Jia Wei Sheng Yang Yi Wei Decoction(Water-honey Pill) In The Treatment Of Senile Habitual Constipation

Objective: In this paper,the therapeutic mechanism of Jia wei sheng yang yi wei decoction(water-honey pill)for elderly patients with habitual constipation was observed.Methods: The 40 patients were randomly divided according to the control principle,with 20 cases in the treatment group and 20 cases in the control group.The treatment group was given Jia wei sheng yang yi wei decoction(water-honey pill).The control group was treated with compound aloe vera capsule.The course of treatment was 4-6 weeks.The changes of TCM symptom efficacy,TCM symptom score,defecation difficulty score and pac-qol score before and after medication were observed for statistical analysis.Results: There were no statistical differences in gender,age and disease course among subjects in this study(P>0.05),showing the two groups were comparable.1.Therapeutic effect of TCM syndromes:40 subjects were statistically analyzed after treatment,with the effective rate of 90% in the treatment group and 80% in the control group.Treatment group were precede to the control group in the therapeutic effect,it has statistical significance(P <0.05).2.Total score of TCM symptoms: after treatment,the symptoms of both groups were improved,and the effect of the treatment group were precede to the control group(P<0.05).3.Single integral score of TCM symptoms: at the end of the treatment,the treatment group had significant therapeutic effect on the integral score of improving the four symptoms of stool stem node,discomfort after defecation,heavy limbs and belching,the therapeutic effect was more significant than the control group of compound aloe vera capsule(P<0.05).4.Symptom score of defecation difficulty: after treatment,the symptom score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment group had better efficacy in relieving the defecation difficulty of the subjects.5.Pac-qol scores before and after treatment: after treatment,the effect of improving the quality of life of the subjects in the treatment grou p was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Jia wei sheng yang yi wei decoction(water-honey pill)can improve the clinical efficacy of habitual constipation in the elderly.2.Jia wei sheng yang yi wei decoction(water-honey pill)can improve the quality of life of old people with habitual constipation.
