This study aims to investigate the effect of childhood psychological abuse on eating disorder tendency and its mechanism including difficulties in emotion regulation and fat negative physical self in the relationship as mediators.In this study,573 college students from 4 universities in Harbin were recruited to participate.Childhood Psychological Abuse Scale,Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale,Fat Negative Physical Self Scale,and Eating Attitude Scale were used to measure.The data were analyzed by SPSS 25.0,Amos 23.0,and Mplus 7.4.The results are as follows:(1)The overall positive rate of childhood psychological abuse among college students was 32.6%.Childhood psychological abuse showed significant differences in gender,only children,hometown,grade and family economic condition.(2)Difficulties in emotion regulation showed significant differences in gender,only children,grade and discipline.(3)Fat negative physical self showed significant differences in gender,grade and discipline.(4)34.2% of college students have abnormalities in eating,of which 22.5% were prone to eating disorders,and 11.7% were highly likely to have eating disorders.Eating disorder tendency showed significant differences in gender,hometown,grade and discipline.(5)The positive correlation of childhood psychological abuse,difficulties in emotion regulation,fat negative physical self and eating disorder tendency were extremely significant.(6)Childhood psychological abuse has a significant predictive effect on eating disorder tendency.(7)Difficulties in emotion regulation and fat negative physical self partly played a mediating role between childhood psychological abuse and eating disorder tendency respectively;Difficulties in emotion regulation and fat negative physical self played the chain mediating roles between childhood psychological abuse and eating disorder tendency.
