In 2020,the new coronavirus epidemic broke out in a large scale in the world.Total health insurance premiums reached 706.598 billion yuan in 2019,up 29.7 percent from2018.There are two very important reasons behind the rapid development of health insurance: first,because of the continuous development of the domestic economy,people’s living standards are constantly improving,after meeting their basic needs,the public will naturally have higher requirements for their own safety and health;Second,the government issued a number of policies to support the development of health insurance.However,there is still a big gap between China and some developed countries in health insurance.Data show that the health insurance density in China was 316yuan/person in 2017,390 yuan/person in 2018,and the health insurance depth was 0.53 percent in 2017 and 0.61 percent in 2018.In developed countries like the United States,the insurance density has reached 16,800 yuan/person in 2013,so China should continue to promote the vigorous development of commercial health insurance.Since the outbreak of the epidemic at the beginning of 2020,health insurance has not only attracted attention,but also accelerated the development of health insurance toward the direction of "Internet+".In the era of "Internet +",the development of big data,artificial intelligence,block chain and other technologies shapes the new development model of commercial health insurance and provides new impetus for the development of health insurance.As of June2019,the Internet penetration rate in China is as high as 61.2%,which means that a large number of people can purchase the insurance they want through the Internet platform.The procedures are easier,the cost of insurance is lower,and the questions can be answered at any time on the Internet platform.From the marketing channel alone,insurance companies should pay more attention to the promotion of Internet business,not only the customer experience is better,insurance companies can also reduce costs and provide better service.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the development mode of Internet + health insurance.This paper expounds Internet +,Internet + commercial health insurance and other related concepts,innovation theory,welfare diversification theory,information asymmetry theory,and PEST analysis based on the status quo of the development modelof Internet + health insurance in China,and profoundly expounds its existing problems.By discussing the specific measures of the United States in the development model of Internet + health insurance,the enlightenment to the development of health insurance in China is obtained.Based on the existing problems in China and combining with the actual situation in China,Suggestions are put forward from four aspects: insurance enterprises’ own factors,market factors,social environment factors and regulatory policy factors,so as to promote the vigorous development of Internet + commercial health insurance in China.
