Objective:Influenza is one of the major diseases threatening human health.Healthcare workers as a risk group, once infected with influenza, they will affect the health of patients.Current research reveals that influenza vaccination can effectively protect healthcare workers themselves, but the actual coverage is not as expected.Based on the analysis of the status situation, this study puts forward relevant policy recommendations to improve the status situation. Methods:With a questionnaire on healthcare workers through Multistage random sampling method and in-depth interviews with healthcare workers through snowball sampling method, this study analyzes the subjective and objective factors influencing the influenza vaccination of healthcare workers, and put forward policy suggestions to provide essential basis for improving the current situation.Results:1.Although the influenza vaccination rate of healthcare workers increases year by year, the overall vaccination rate and individual vaccination rate remains low.During April 2018 to April 2019,the coverage rate of influenza vaccination among healthcare workers in tertiary hospitals in Jinan city is 6.64%.2.Quantitative research illustrates that the factors influencing influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in tertiary hospitals in Jinan city can be classified into three categories:attribute factors(age);Behavioral factors(prior vaccination history and vaccination intention);Knowledge factors(initiative to acquire knowledge and mastery of knowledge).3.Qualitative research demonstrates that the factors influencing the influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in tertiary hospitals in Jinan city can also be classified into three categories:individual factors(individual health level, mastery of relevant knowledge, cognition of influenza, attitude on influenza vaccination);Conditional factors(inconvenient time for vaccination, inconvenient place for vaccination, insufficient amount of vaccination, family factors, and influence of people around);Policy factors(vaccination costs, inadequate propaganda). Conclusions:Referring to the subjective and objective factors that associated with the influenza vaccination of healthcare workers, regular training shall be organized with diversified methods and accurate objectives for healthcare workers.Simplify vaccination process to improve vaccination availability;Policy support shall be carried out to upgrade the current situation;Strengthen the tilt of vaccine research and explore the development and application of new "all-round" influenza vaccines; Finally, mandatory vaccination policies have been proved to be beneficial in the growth of the vaccination rate, but attention should undoubtedly be drawn to practical implementation. |
