A Practical Study Of Social Work Intervention In Post-operative Depression Of Breast Cancer Patients

The incidence rate of breast cancer has become the confidante killer of women in recent years.Since ancient times,there have been many sayings in China,such as"anger hurts the liver","happiness hurts the heart","thinking hurts the spleen" and"fear hurts the kidney",with special emphasis on the influence of emotions on the body.Depression is a common negative emotion in patients with breast cancer.The degree of depression in patients with breast cancer after operation is more serious,which has a great impact on the physical treatment effect and social psychological level of patients.Through the practice of medical social work in tumor hospital,the author made in-depth contact with breast cancer patients.In this study,the patients with post-operative depression of breast cancer were taken as the main service objects.Under the guidance of social support theory and cognitive behavior theory,the group work method in social work was used to intervene.To provide the necessary"instrumental" support and "expressive" support for patients to relieve depression,the service mainly includes three aspects:the popularization of postoperative rehabilitation knowledge,the adjustment of depression and the construction of social support network.After the service,according to the activity and interview records,through the process evaluation and result evaluation,the evaluation and research found that:the social work group service intervention in breast cancer patients’ post-operative depression has obvious effect,the group work method has strong operability,the patients’ cognition and attitude to the post-operative rehabilitation has changed,the awareness and ability to deal with the post-operative depression has improved Social support network has been improved,and depression has been alleviated to some extent.
