Comparative Study On The Effect Of Different Anti-foaming Agents In Colonscopy In Bowel Preparation

Objectives:To compare the effects that simethicone and hydrochloride dyclonine mucilage on the intestinal cleanliness and bubble amount in the colonoscopy.Methods:287 patients were selected and divided into A,B,C groups randomly.A group(The Polyethylene Glycol Electrolyte group)was 97 cases in it.B group(The Polyethylene Glycol Electrolyte plus Simethicone group)was 93 cases in it.C group(The Polyethylene Glycol Electrolyte plus Hydrochloride Dyclonine Mucilage group)was 93 cases in it.Compared the evaluation indexes include intestinal cleanliness,intestinal bubble score,polyps detection rate,procedure time,doctor’s satisfaction rate,the incidence of adverse events and the cecal insertion rate.Analyze the effictions of simethicone and hydrochloride dyclonine mucilage on intestinal preparation effect and bubble amount.Results:There were no statistic difference in the BBPS(Boston Bowel Preparation Scale)score of the left colon,the transvese colon,the right colon and the total score among the three groups(P>0.05).Among the three groups,there were statistic difference of intestinal bubble amount score(the left colon,the transvese colon,the right colon and the total score),P<0.05.Three groups were compared pairwise further,the score of bubble amount(the left colon,the transvese colon,the right colon and the total score)in B group and C group are higher than A group,the difference was statistically(P<0.05),between B group and C group,there was no significant difference in the score of intestinal bubble amount(P>0.05).Among the three groups,there were statictic differences of the polyps detection rate(P<0.05).Then three groups were compared pairwise,the polyps detection rate in B group and C group are higher than that in A group(P<0.05),there was no statictic differences of the polyps detection rate in B group and C group(P>0.05).Among the three groups,the difference of the procedure time was statistically(P<0.05),Then three groups were compared pairwise,the procedure time in B group and C group were shorter than in A group and the satisfaction of doctors’in B group and C group was higher than A group.Thus,there were statistic differences(P<0.05).About the incidence of adverse events,there were no statistic difference among the three groups(P>0.05).All patients completed the colonoscopy,the cecal insertion rate of three groups were 100%.Conclusions:Taking simethicone and hydrochloride dyclonine mucilage before colonoscopy can eliminate the amount of bubbles in the intestine,however they cannot improve the cleanliness of intestine,and in the aspect,because of eliminating the amount of bubbles in the intestine,they can improve the intestine mucosal visibility and improve the polyps detection rate(PDR).If simethicone and hydrochloride dyclonine mucilage were taken before colonoscopy,they would short the operation time while improve the doctor’s satisfaction,but can not increase the incidence of adverse events.Before colonoscopy,both of them can be choosen.
