| Objective: To investigate the changes of serum levels of Serum Wnt1-inducing signaling pathway protein 1(WISP1),Cystatin C(Cys C)and retinol-binding protein(RBP)in normal weight type 2 diabetic patients,Obese Type 2 diabetic patients and Obese Group with normal glucose regulation,and analyze the relationship among the three indexes and their correlations with relevant metabolic and biochemical indexes.To further explore the possible roles of these three indexes in type 2 diabetes and obesity morbidity.Methods: From August 2018 to June 2019,18 simple obese subjects(OB-NGR)and 18 normal weight type 2 diabetic patients(NW-T2DM)and 18 obese type 2 diabetic patients(OB-T2DM)who met the entry criteria were selected from the outpatient department of Endocrinology Department of Northern Jiangsu People’s Hospital.The levels of plasma WISP1 in OB-NGR group,NW-T2 DM group and OB-T2 DM group were measured by ELISA.At the same time,fasting plasma triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),cystatin C(Cys C),glycosylated hemoglobin(Hb A1c),blood glucose,retinol binding protein(RBP),height and weight were measured and body mass index was calculated(BMI).The changes of WISP1,Cys C,RBP and the correlation between the levels of these proteins and clinical parameters were analyzed by SPSS 22.0 software.Results: 1.The levels of BMI,TG and TC in OB-T2 DM group were higher than those in NW-T2 DM group(P<0.05).The levels of WISP1,Cys C and RBP in OB-T2 DM group were higher than those in NW-T2 DM group(P<0.05).2.The levels of LDL-C,Hb A1 c and blood glucose in OB-T2 DM group were higher than those in OB-NGR group.Cys C and RBP in OB-T2 DM group were higher than those in OB-NGR group(P<0.05).3.Multiple regression analysis showed that WISP1 and RBP were the independent risk factors of obesity in type 2 diabetic patients.The AUC of WISP1 and RBP was 0.728 and 0.716 respectively for normal weight type 2 diabetic patients with obesity.The AUC of the combination of WISP1 and RBP was 0.741,suggesting that the effect of the combination of WISP1 and RBP is better than that of the single judgment.Cys C is an independent risk factor for diabetes in patients with simple obesity,and the AUC of diabetes in patients with simple obesity judged by Cys C is 0.725.4.WISP1 was positively and weakly correlated with BMI and TG(P<0.05).Cys C was positively correlated with RBP(P<0.05).Conclusions:WISP1 has diagnostic value in determining obesity in patients with normal weight type 2 diabetes.RBP is associated with type 2 diabetes and obesity.The combination of WISP1 and RBP was more effective than WISP1 and RBP in determining obesity in patients with type 2diabetes.Cys C has diagnostic value in judging the occurrence of type 2 diabetes in simple obese patients. |
