ObjectiveConstruct a positive psychological intervention program based on the PERMA model, and explore the impact of positive psychological intervention on the disability acceptance,post-traumatic growth, positive and negative emotions,self-care ability and subjective well-being of patients with stroke. It provides scientific and effective methods for comprehensively promoting the mental health of stroke patients, and also provides a reference basis for the psychological intervention of positive psychology theory in patients with chronic diseases in China.MethodsSeventy patients with stroke who were hospitalized in the rehabilitation department of a tertiary Class A hospital in Shaoyang City from October 2018 to April 2019 were selected using a convenient sampling method. They were divided into an intervention group and a control group by random number table method. There were 35 cases each.Among them,31 cases were the intervention group and 32 cases were thecontrol group due to lost follow-up and transfer. The control group was given 8 consecutive times of regular health education, and the intervention group received 8 consecutive times of positive psychological workshops(interviews and exercises)based on the PERMA model, twice a week for 30-50 minutes. The effects were assessed by the Disability Acceptance Scale,Post Traumatic Growth Scale,Positive and Negative Emotional Scale,Chinese Barthel Index Scale and Subjective Well-Being Index Scale before, after and 4 weeks after the intervention, life perception, emotional state,self-care ability, and happiness were evaluated. All data were analyzed using SPSS22.0.Statistical methods included descriptive analysis,chi-square test, independent sample t-test,and repeated measures analysis of variance.Results(1)Before intervention, differences in baseline scores between general demographic data, disability acceptance scale,post-traumatic growth scale, positive and negative emotion scale,Chinese version of Barthel index scale, and subjective well-being index scale between the two groups of patients No statistical significance(P>0.05).(2)At the end of the intervention and 4 weeks after the end of the intervention, the total scores of the disability acceptance, the transformation dimension, the tolerance dimension, and the expansion dimension of the stroke patients in the intervention group were higherthan those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);Repeated measures analysis of variance showed that the total disability acceptance score and the transition dimension, tolerance dimension, and expansion dimension had statistically significant effects(P<0.05).The total disability acceptance score and the time effects of each dimension score,The interaction effects were statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)At the end of the intervention group and 4 weeks after the end of the intervention, the scores of the post-traumatic growth scores, life perception, relationship with others, and self-transformation of the intervention group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);repeat The analysis of measurement variance showed that the post-traumatic growth scores, life perceptions, relationships with others, and self-transformation dimension scores had statistically significant intergroup effects and interaction effects(P<0.05).Time effects were statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)At the end of the intervention group and 4 weeks after the end of the intervention, the positive rate of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);repeated measurement analysis of variance showed that the time of positive rate, between groups, and interaction effects It has statistical significance(P<0.05).(5)At the end of the intervention group and 4 weeks after the end of the intervention, the BI index score of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);repeated measurement analysis of variance showed that the time, intergroup, and interaction of the BI index The effect was statistically significant(P<0.05).(6)At the end of the intervention group and 4 weeks after the intervention, the total subjective well-being,emotional index, and life satisfaction score of the intervention group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);repeated analysis of variance showed that,The total subjective well-being score and the emotional index, the time of life satisfaction score, and the effect between groups were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the interaction effects of the total subjective well-being score and the emotional index score were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions(1)Positive psychological intervention based on the PERMA model can improve the disability acceptance of patients with stroke.(2)Positive psychological intervention based on the PERMA model can improve the positive emotions and post-traumatic growth of stroke patients, alleviate the bad emotions and promote their self-care ability.(3)Positive psychological intervention based on the PERMA modelcan enhance the subjective well-being of patients with stroke.
