[Purpose] In the process of medical service, the problem of information asymmetry brings many risks to both doctors and patients.Information disclosure is an effective way to solve this problem. The purpose of this study is to understand the status of information disclosure and the need for patient information disclosure in public hospitals in China through theoretical research and practice investigation, and then explore feasible public hospital information disclosure model.[Methods] 1.Literature research method: Analyze the theoretical basis and legislative progress of public hospital information disclosure by searching Chinese and English database and health administrative department official website;2.Questionnaire survey method: Based on the literature research, the questionnaires were designed with reference to the questionnaires of the existing hospital information disclosure research, combined with the Performance Indicator System of the Tertiary Public Hospitals issued by the State Council of China.3.Statistical analysis: Descriptive statistical analysis of patient demographics Characteristic factors, cognition of public hospital information disclosure and the demand for information disclosure subjects, channels and content;Logistic regression analysis of patient characteristics and its impact on information disclosure necessity;using T test to analyze the difference of the indicator selection of information disclosure content in public hospital by different types of patients.[Results] 1.72.11% of the respondents indicated that they were concerned about hospital-related information, and 78.49% of the respondents thought it necessary to disclose the information of public hospitals. The vast majority of patients were more positive about public hospital information disclosure.About 83.27% of the respondents had more active and frequent information search behaviors, and the overall hospital information search awareness was higher.2.Analysis of the influence of patient characteristics on the cognition of the necessity of information disclosure found that the age of the patient and the frequency of visits have a significant impact on the necessity of hospital information disclosure;3.The analysis of the needs of the patient information disclosure subject and the public channel found that the patient has a higher degree of trust in official institutions such as government departments and hospitals;4.There are significant differences in the selection of 12 indicators including the incidence of surgical complications, the implementation of quality control of single diseases, the use rate of essential drugs and antibiotics, and the pass rate of prescriptions.Negative patients and active patients share a higher demand for relevant indicators of patient experience.[Conclusions] 1.There is a contradiction between the progress of information disclosure in public hospitals and the need for public information disclosure;2.When promoting the information disclosure system of public hospitals, attention should be paid to the information needs of different types of patients, and the indicators of common needs of different types of patients should be disclosed first;3.The impact of each indicator should be carefully considered. The information that may be expected to cause social instability should be included in the information disclosure exemption;4.Pay attention to the risk factors at the patient level, doctor level, and medical institution level that may result from information disclosure.
