A Comparative Study And Improvement On Psychological Scale Of Male Infertile Patients

PurposeBy using different psychological survey scales,the infertile male patients in reproductive center were screened,and the psychological scale suitable for out-patient infertile men was developed through the verification of psychological diagnosis as the gold standard.In order to carry out psychological counseling or treatment for patients with mental disorders,construct a new mode of diagnosis and treatment of male infertilityMethodsMultiple questionnaires including STAI,GHQ-12,BDI,HAD,SCL-90 were used to investigate the psychological status of male infertile patients,and 264 male patients(including those with self-conscious factors)who were self-conscious of infertility were selected,and the psychological status of male infertile patients was investigated by using multiple questionnaires,including self-conscious factors.There were 62 infertile patients who were self-conscious because of female factors.In addition,176 out-patient patients were randomly selected,and 140 were diagnosed by the psychiatrist on the spot.Through the comparison,the reliability,validity,ROC curve and the diagnostic gold standard of psychotherapist were analyzed,and the psychological scale of male infertility patients was selected and improvedResults1.The reliability of 1.STAI was good,but it failed to reflect the difference between male infertility patients and normal male population.GHQ-12 reliability was poor,had reliability was good,but the detection rate was lower,while BDI was not suitable for clinical use.SCL-90 has good reliability and high detection rate,but more items,it is easy to fill in incomplete or not serious2.In this study,15 psychological scales which were developed for male infertility patients with a good reliability and a high detection rate,and the time of filling out the form was only 1/3 of that of SCL-90ConclusionFive psychological scales,such as STAI,GHQ-12,BDI,HAD,SCL-90,are not suitable for screening mental diseases in male infertile patients.The male infertile psychology scale developed in this study is more suitable for psychological screening in male outpatients with high patient flow.More suitable for the large flow of male out-patient clinic for psychological screening.Through screening,this study found that infertile men have a high proportion of mental disorders.Reproductive androgyny outpatient department should strengthen the diagnosis and treatment of mental problems while solving the infertility problems,and the treatment effect and satisfaction of the patients can be improved.
