| Hemerocallis minor Mill.,belongs to the genus Hemerocallis of Liliaceae family. The genus Hemerocallis(Liliaceae),including about 14 different species distributed widely from southern Europe to the temperate zone of Asia. While about 11 species in China, most of them are distributed in Shanxi,Shandong,Gansu,Inner Mongolia and Hebei provinces. The roots of H.minor Mill.has been used as a folk medicine for a long time.Previous investigations the genus Hemerocallis(Liliaceae)have identified several classes of chemical constituents including flavones, anthraquinones, alkaloids, terpenes, aromatics and steroidal saponins. The research focus on studying the flowers of H.minor Mill.,which was obtained from Changzhi,Shanxi province,P.R.China.With various chromatographic methods(silica gel,Sephadex LH-20,preparative HPLC,MPLC and TLC)and spectroscopic analysis(IR,CD,EI-MS,ESI-M,HRESI-MS,1H-NMR,13C-NMR,and 2D NMR),53 compounds were isolated from H.minor Mill.including seven flavonoids, twelve terpenoid derivatives, twelve alkaloids, seven phenylpropanoids, eight aromatics and seven other compounds.Among them,HF-1,HF-2,HF-3,HF-5,HF-24,HF-36 and HF-40 were elucidated as new compounds. In our research,we tested the inhibitory effect on TNF-α induced NF-κB activity of the isolated compounds in HeLa cells. As a result,HF-5 exhibited moderate inhibition of NF-κB activation. And the NF-κB inhibitory activity of HF-5 were not caused cytotoxicity as determined by MTT assay. In addition,we evaluated the inhibitory effect on dopamine receptor, the results showed that 43 isolated compounds displayed no inhibitory activity on dopamine receptor. And 43 compounds were tested for antimicrobial activity against eleven bacterias using microbroth dilution method.Only compounds HF-19,HF-20,HF-36,HF-42,HF-43,HF-48 and HF-49 showed moderate activity against the eleven bacterias, respectively. |
