Poverty is an important economic and social issue that affects the world. It is also a theoretical and practical issue concerned by all sectors of society, including scholars and governments. The academic community has been studying poverty from many levels and has made rich achievements. In terms of current domestic research on poverty reduction, there are two main deficiencies: First, most studies focus on the impact of government policies on poverty alleviation, and pay less attention to the role of farmers in getting rid of poverty.Second, most studies focus on objective poverty. There is insufficient attention to subjective poverty. In response to these two problems, there are two aspects of starting point at the farmer perspective: One is the family endowment of farmers. As an extension of the individual endowment of farmers, family endowment is a representation of the various resources owned by farmers. From a realistic point of view, families with a high number of family endowments and quality are richer families, and the weak and lack of family endowment is the main cause of poor households.Another perspective is health risks shocks.Farmers will encounter various risk shocks in their daily production and life, the first and foremost one is health risks shocks.Health risks shocks will lead to a decline in the income of farmers, which can directly cause farmers to fall into objective poverty. At the same time, they will lead to aggravation of the psychological burden of farmers, which may lead farmers to fall into subjective poverty. Therefore, family endowment and health shocks are two important factors that affect farmers' poverty. When it comes to poverty,it usually refers to objective poverty or absolute poverty. In the context of the major changes in social contradictions and the reality of achieving a well-off society in an all-round way,the objective poverty of rural society in China has been greatly reduced,While the problem of relative poverty and subjective poverty is becoming more and more obvious. Therefore, attention and research on subjective poverty must be entered in the present and in the future. In view of these real and theoretical problems, this paper divides the poverty of farmers into two levels: objective poverty and subjective poverty. From the two main factors of household endowment and health risk shocks, this paper explores the strategy of getting rid of poverty and getting rich.First, studying poverty from the perspective of family endowment is realistic, and can also provide a feasible idea for solving the problem of absolute poverty at the moment.Second, the research on subjective poverty is forward-looking,and it is of great significance to solve the people's happiness and life satisfaction after entering a well-off society. Finally, the discussions on the mechanism of family endowment and health risks and the poverty of farmers, together with the empirical test, have important theoretical significance. In summary, based on the social survey data of 589 households in the poverty-stricken areas of Qinba Mountain, this article employ statistical and quantitative methods to analyzes the impact of family endowment and health risks on the objective poverty and subjective poverty of farmers. And tested the role of family endowment in coping with poverty caused by health risks shocks.Specifically, this paper analyzes the following three major objective: First,to analysis the status and causes of objective and subjective poverty among farmers in Qinba Mountain;Second,to probe the impact of family endowment and health risk shocks on farmers' poverty;Third,to check the role of family endowment in response to objective poverty and subjective poverty leaded by farmers' health risk shocks. The main conclusions are as follows: First, the family endowment of non-poor households is better than that of poor households, and the health risk shocks of poor families are more obvious than non-poor households.Second,The effects of family endowment on the objective poverty and subjective poverty of farmers are both similar and very different: from the perspective of objective poverty, only human capital, social capital and physical capital endowment can reduce objective poverty, while from the perspective of subjective poverty, all capital endowments.except physical capital, can significantly reduce the subjective poverty of farmers.Third, health risk shocks are always a significant factor leading to objective poverty and subjective poverty among farmers.Fourth, social capital endowment plays a significant mediating role in response to objective poverty and subjective poverty among farmers caused by health risk shocks.
