The Clinical Study Of Taking Xiaoyao Powder Plus And Minus Combined With Moxibustion Of Shenque Point In Treatment Of Diarrhea-type Irritable Bowel Syndrome With Liver Stagnation And Spleen Deficiency

Objective: To observe the clinical effect and safety of taking Xiaoyao powder plus and minus combined with moxibustion of Shenque point in treatment of diarrhea-type irritable bowel syndrome(IBS-D)with liver stagnation and spleen deficiency,and to seek for and provide a safe,reasonable and high efficient treatment plan of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)for IBS-D.Methods: Use randomized controlled method to divide the 60well-standard IBS-D patients with liver stagnation and spleen deficiency into 2 groups:treatment group and control group,with 30 cases in each group.Before the treatment,the researcher should instruct the patients to fill out the form of TCM syndrome of irritable bowel syndrome,and carefully record the patients’ score.The treatment group was treated with Xiaoyao powder and moxibustion of Shenque acupoint,and the control group was treated with pericardium bromide tablets.The course of treatment of each group is 4 weeks.After the course of treatment,the researcher should fill out the forms again,record the patients ’ scores,observe the improvement of all symptoms before and after treatment in the two groups and finally compare the curative effect as well as the change of TCM symptom score between the two groups.After 4 weeks of the treatment,all effective patients should be followed up in order to count the recurrence rate.All involved patients before and after treatment should be examined for routine examinations such as three routine tests,electrocardiogram,liver and kidney functions.And the safety of pharmacy used by the two groups should be observed.Results:1.Comparison of total effective rate: in the treatment group,9 cases were completely cured,13 cases were markedly and effectively treated,5 cases were improved,3 cases were ineffective,and the total effective rate was 90.00%.In the control group,4 cases were completed cured,7cases were markedly and effectively treated,11 cases were improved,8cases were ineffective,and the total effective rate was 73.33%.The total effective rate of the treatment group was obviously better than that of the control group(P<0.01).2.Comparison of patients’ symptom score before and after treatment:after treatment,the patients’ symptoms of both groups were improved and part of the patients were cured(P<0.01).Among which,the treatment group was obviously superior to the control group in improving the treatment of diarrhea,agitation,exasperation,anorexia,fatigue,intestinal tinnitus and belching(P<0.05).But the curative effect of both groups was nearly the same(P>0.05)in improving the treatment of abdominal pain,chest and flank distension.3.Comparison of recurrence rates:The recurrence rate of 14.81% in the treatment group was significantly lower than the rate of 36.36% in the control group(P<0.05).4.Comparison of the incidence and safety of adverse reactions: all the involved patients in the group had stable vital signs and no adverse reactions.Before and after treatment of the patients in the two groups,there were no obvious abnormalities and no significant difference found in the three routine examinations,ECG,liver and kidney functions.Both groups were safe in using medicines.Conclusion: The curative effect of taking Xiaoyao powder plus and minus combined with moxibustion of Shenque point is more effective and superior to Pinaverium Bromide in the treatment of IBS-D with liver stagnation and spleen deficiency.It is a safe,reasonable and high efficient TCM treatment plan,which is worthy of promotion and application in clinical practice.
