Objective: to compare the clinical efficacy of mono-condylar replacement of knee joint and high tibial osteotomy in the treatment of mono-compartment osteoarthritis of knee joint. Methods: There were 29 patients with medial cartilage injury and knee varus in the knee joint.Among them,14 patients underwent unicondylar knee arthroplasty(UKA)and 15 patients underwent higIl tibial osteotomy(HTO).At 1 year follow-up,the patient’s knee range of motion(ROM),pain score(Visual Analogue Scale/Score,VAS)was recorded, and the hospital for special surgery knee score(HSS)score was performed. And the western Ontario and McMaster’s osteoarthritis index(WOMAC)score function evaluation. Results: All patients were followed up for more than 1 year. The follow-up period was 6-18 months, with an average of 12.2 months. In the UKA group,14 cases of dislocation of the polyethylene pad due to excessive flexion of the knee joint in the 14-month postoperative period, followed by replacement of the thickened pad,the survival rate of the prosthesis was 92.8%;1 patient in the HTO group 12 months after surgery After the occurrence of sustained knee pain, cartilage of the medial compartment of the knee joint, internal fixation surgery, the survival rate of the prosthesis was 93.3%,the difference was not statistically significant. The HSS score of the UKA group was 90.5 at 1 year follow-up,and the HSS score of the HTO group was 89.7.The difference was not statistically significant. The WOMAC score of UKA group was 11.5± 1.7 at 1 year follow-up,and the WOMAC score of HTO group was 13.2± 1.3.The difference was not statistically significant. The ROM of the UKA group was 114.1° at 1 year follow-up,and the mean ROM of the HTO group was 110.2°.The difference was not statistically significant. The pain score of the UKA group was 0.5 at 1 year follow-up,and the pain score was 0.3 in the HTO group. The difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion: for the patients with single-compartment cartilage injury of knee joint accompanied by intra varus, the early results of single-condyle replacement of knee joint and high tibial osteotomy were significant, with no statistically significant difference.Further observation is needed for the long-term efficacy. |
