Objective:To explore the effect of sling exercise training on the balance function and walking ability of the core muscle of stroke patients. Methods:Forty patients with hemiplegic stroke after hospitalization were selected.Patients were regarded as suitable to participate if they fulfilled the following criteria:Holden'sFunctional Ambulation Classification was more than grade?,age between 18-80 years old;MMSE(Mini-mental State Examination)>27 score. The patients were divided into 2 groups : the control group(group A)and the sling exercise training group(group B).Two groups of patients received conventional drug treatment, combined with low frequency electric therapy, acupuncture and other physical agents,at the same time using conventional rehabilitation training methods,in accordance with the planned designing exercises,30 min per day, including Bobath technique,PNF technique, etcIn addition to above treatment,Group A: training core muscles strength on the treatment bed,20 min per day,B group:training core muscles strength under the sling,20 min per day.The tolal training, was 6 weeks,Berg balance Scale(BBS),five-times-sit-to-stand test(FTSST)and10m walking time were evaluated before treatment, after 4 weeks and at the end of treatment(3 times).Result:1.Before the rehabilitation training, there was no significant difference between the 2 groups in the evaluation of the above evaluation scales(P>0.05).2.Berg balance Scale(BBS): After 4 weeks and 6 weeks training,Berg balance Scale(BBS)scores were increased in both groups, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);When comparing two groups after 4 weeks and 6 weeks training, the scores in B group patients increased more significantly than the scores in A group patients.(P < 0.05)3.Five-times-sit-to-stand test(FTSST): five-times-sit-to-stand test(FTSST)training after 4 weeks and 6 weeks in A group and B group were significantly shorter than before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);After 4 weeks and 6 weeks training, patients 5 times sit to stand test(FTSST)time was shortened more significantly in B group patients than in A group patients, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05)4.10 m walking time: A group and B group's 10 m walking time after 4 weeks training and after 6 weeks training was shorter than before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);training after 4 weeks and 6 weeks after training, the 10 m walking time in B group shortened more significantly compared with A group, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05)Conclusion: Sling Exercise Therapy for the training of core muscle strength can improve stroke patients Berg balance Scale(BBS)score, shortened five-times-sit-to-stand test(FTSST)and 10 m walking time, improve the balance function and walking ability of patients.
