Objective:This study investigated the relationships between serum betatrophin and other clinical indexes,and analyzed the relationships between betatrophin and carotid atherosclerosis inpatients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods:The subjects were divided into two groups:type 2 diabetes diabetes with carotid atherosclerosis(CAS)(60 cases),without carotid atherosclerosis(NAS)group(55 cases),and 38 healthy subjects were recruited as control group(NGT).The concentration of serum betatrophin was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).All the data were processed by SPSS 21.0 software:T test was used for the comparison between the two groups,and one-way ANOVA analysis was used for the comparison between the three groups.The correlation between serum betatrophin and clinical parameters was analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear stepwise regression analysis,respectively.Single factor analysis and logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the related factors of carotid atherosclerosis.P<0.05 indicates that the difference is statistically significant.Results:The level of betatrophin in CAS group and NAS group were higher than that in NGT group(670.18±123.84)VS(497.40±121.50),(382.01±124.02)pg/ml],Serum betatrophin concentration in CAS group was higher than that in NAS group(670.18±123.84)VS(497.40±121.50)pg/ml].correlation analysis showed that serum betatrophin were positively correlated with BMI、FPG、HbA1C、TG(r=0.239,0.305,0.549,0.344;P<0.01),and also positively correlated with SBP(r=0.167;P<0.05),negatively correlated with HDL(r=-0.316;P<0.01).The results of multiple linear stepwise regression showed that TG and HbA1C were independent influencing factors of serum betatrophin.logistic regression analysis showed that betatrophin and HbA1C were independent influencing factors of CAS.Conclusion:(1)The serum betatrophin level were higher in NAS group than that in NGT group,The level of betatrophin were further increased in CAS group.betatrophin was correlated with HDL、TG,betatrophin was independent factor of CAS.suggesting that serum betatrophin levels may be involved in the development of atherosclerosis in T2DM patients.and may become a potential therapeutic target for macrovascular comlications of T2DM.(2)Serum betatrophin levels were positively correlated with BMI、FPG、TG、HbA1C、SBP,negatively correlated with HDL.TG and HbA1C was independent influencing factors of serum betatrophin.suggesting that serum betatrophin levels were involved in blood glucose,blood lipids.betatrophin is possible to participate in the development and progession of atherosclerosis in T2DM patients through above factors. |
