Objective:In this study,by comparing the efficacy of warm acupuncture and conventional acupuncture in the treatment of De Quervain’ s Disease of Deficiency-cold type,a more effective treatment scheme was explored for treating this disease. Methods:Sixty patients with De Quervain’ s Disease who met the diagnostic criteria of traditional Chinese and western medicine were divided into treatment group and control group through a randomized controlled clinical study, with 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with warm acupuncture, while the control group was treated with conventional acupuncture. The two groups were treated once a day for 3 consecutive days with one course of treatment, with a total of 2 courses of treatment separated by one day.The changes of VAS score,Cooney wrist score and ulnar deviation range of motion of the wrist were observed before and after treatment.SPSS 21.0 statistical software was used to compare the clinical efficacy of the treatment group and the control group.Results:1.Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in gender, age, course of disease and observation indicators(VAS score,Cooney wrist score and ulnar deviation of wrist range of motion)between the two groups(P>0.05),indicating comparable conditions.2.Comparison of VAS score:the VAS score of the two groups after treatment was lower than that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The VAS score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group(P>0.05).The difference in VAS score between the two groups before and after treatment was greater in the treatment group than in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The results indicated that both treatment groups could alleviate the pain of patients, while the analgesic effect of the treatment group was better.3.Comparison of Cooney wrist score:Cooney wrist score increased in both groups after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,Cooney wrist score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference of Cooney wrist score between the two groups before and after treatment was greater in the treatment group than in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The results showed that both of the two treatments could improve the function of the wrist, but the warm acupuncture was more effective.4.Comparison of ulnar range of motion of the wrist:after treatment, the scores of the two groups were higher than before, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the ulnar deviation activity score of the wrist in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference in ulnar range of motion of the wrist between the two groups before and after treatment was greater in the treatment group than in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The results indicated that both treatments could improve the ulnar deviation range of motion of the wrist joint of the patients, and the treatment group had better improvement effect of the range of motion of the wrist joint.5.Comparison of clinical efficacy:after treatment, the cure rate and effective rate of the treatment group were respectively 16.7%and 83.3%,while the obvious rate and effective rate of improving clinical symptoms of the control group were respectively 6.7%and 73.30%The difference in efficacy between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group. Conclusion:It was found that both the treatment group and the control group could improve the symptoms of De Quervain’ s Disease of Deficiency-cold type, with definite curative effect. In the treatment group, the overall effect of warm needle therapy on the treatment of De Quervain’ s Disease of Deficiency-cold type was better than that of the control group.
