Warm Acupuncture Treatment Of Osteoarthritis Deficiency Syndrome Of Its Molecular Basis Of Discussion

Objective: To study the clinical effect of warm-needle acupuncture on patients suffering from osteoarthritic knee of cold-Zheng and to explore the molecular mechanism of the treatment through a biological point of view. Method: 1. Clinical research: 64 patients, selected by the diagnosis of TCM and western medicine, were randomly divided into 2 groups, namely warm-needle acupuncture group and acupuncture group. The acupoints of Guanyuam Qihai and Zusanli were selected as the main points and Xiyan and Yanglingquan as the subordinate points. After 14 days, the curative effect before and after the treatment by the indicators of ache and Cold Zheng was evaluated. 2. Physiology research: To compare the coefficient of visceral nerve, response of skin interaction, body temperature and visceral nerve reflection between 10 patients and healthy people. 3. Gene expression research: To compare the differential expression of genes between 8 patients, treated by warm-needle acupuncture and 8 healthy people by cDNA microarry. 3 patients who exhibited the effects of treatments were selected as the cases to explore the molecular curative effect. In order to study the gene expression, 10ml blood of each healthy person and patient was drawn to extract mRNA, reversely transcribed to cDNA that was labeled by cy-3-dUTP and cy5-dUTP separately. These probes were hybridized with the cDNA microarrays, scanned and analyzed.Result: 1.
