ObjectiveThe purpose of this study was to explore the clinical effect of Acupoint Massage and Tendon Rebounding Technique in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy, compared with the traditional manipulation of massage as a control group.McGill pain scale and Yasuhisa Tanaka cervical spondylotic symptom scale were selected as the evaluation indexes. The efficacy and difference of the two groups were observed through the scoring before and after treatment,so as to provide more accurate and effective targeted treatment for the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.MethodSixty patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy admitted to the massage department of the First Affiliated Hospital Of Guangzhou University Of Traditional Chinese Medicine were divided into two groups, with 30 cases in the treatment group and 30 cases in the control group. The treatment group was treated by the Acupoint Massage and Tendon Rebounding Technique, while the control group was treated with the traditional manipulation of massage. Before and after treatment, the condition changes of the patients in the two groups were recorded by the scale. Each group took 1 week as a course of treatment, and the relevant indicators were evaluated after 3 courses of treatment. The recorded indexes were processed by SPSS 21.0,and the clinical efficacy of the two treatment regimens was evaluated according to the data results. Finally, the treatment method was analyzed, discussed and summarized.Results1.Before the comparison,in terms of gender, age and course of disease, there was no statistically significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05),and the two groups were comparable.2.In terms of pain score, the total McGill pain score of the two groups after treatment was lower than that before treatment, and intra-group comparison(P<0.05).The comparison of PPI,PRI and VAS data of the McGill pain scale between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).By observing the difference between the scores of the above three sub-indicators and the total indicators before and after treatment,it can be seen that the difference in the treatment group was larger. The data showed that both treatment regimens were effective in alleviating subjective pain symptoms in patients, but the treatment group was more effective than the control group.3.In terms of the score of cervical spondylosis symptoms, the score of cervical spondylosis symptoms in both groups after treatment was higher than that before treatment. From the data, compared with the control group, the score of the treatment group was significantly improved, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference in score of Yasuhisa Tanaka between the two groups before and after treatment was P<0.05,which was statistically significant,so indicating that Acupoint Massage and Tendon Rebounding Technique was more effective than the traditional manipulation in improving the symptoms of cervical spondylosis.4.In terms of overall efficacy, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.3%,and that of the control group was 80.0%,with significant difference(P<0.05).The results showed that the overall therapeutic effect of the Acupoint Massage and Tendon Rebounding Technique was better than that of the traditional manipulation.ConclusionsAccording to the research results, for patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy, the application of Acupoint Massage and Tendon Rebounding Technique can significantly improve the pain symptoms and related signs of patients, and improve the quality of life of patients.Under the same treatment of massage, its clinical effect is significantly better than the traditional massage, especially in reducing pain and numbness, the treatment method is worth promoting and further research and application in clinical.
