| Objective Immediately after minimally invasive extraction of the unretainable teeth in the maxillary anterior region, implants were implanted with the composite of simvastatin and Bio-Oss or simply Bio-oss for guided bone regeneration in the peri-implant bone defects. The difference of osteogenic ability between the two groups was observed by comparing the different materials in the peri-implant bone defects in the upper anterior region, and whether simvastatin has a certain osteogenic effect. The purpose of this study is to provide therapeutic basis for clinical operation. Methods Select 40 patinets, from November 2017 to March 2018,whose single maxillary anterior teeth cannot be retained with labial bone defect due to various reasons, agree to accept immediate implant and concomitant guided bone regeneration in Department of Stomatol ogy of our hospital. After numbering, they were randomly divided into experimental group(n=20)and control group(n=20).The control group was simply implanted with Bio-oss to complete labial GBR repair while the experimental group was implanted with the composite of simvastatin and Bio-Oss.Oral cone beam computed tomography and root X-Ray were taken at 1,3 and 6 months after implantation to observe and evaluate the success rate of implants in two groups, and the height, thickness and density of the two gro ups of labial new bone were measured and recorded. The pink esthetic scores(PES)of two groups were assessed at 6 and 12 months after operation. One year after operation, the implant retention rates of the two groups were recorded and the patients’ satisfaction was investigated. Results A total of 40 Dentium implants were implanted in 40 patients.1 cases of failure were both found in the experimental group and the control group, and no abnormality was found in the other 38 cases. The retention rate of implants in both groups was 95%.The height, thickness and density of new bone in the experimental group were both higher than that in the control group at 1,3 and 6 months after implantation(p<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant. There was no significant difference in PES between the two groups at 6 and 12 months after surgery(P>0.05).One year after the operation, the satisfaction of both groups was satisfactory and relatively satisfactory. Conclusions In immediate implantation of maxil lary anterior teeth,SV-Bio-oss bone meal compound or Bio-oss bone meal alone can be used to repair bone defects around implants.SV can accelerate the degradation of Bio-Oss bone meal and promote new bone formation. |
