Objective: Through the research and analysis of the current performance management situation of a public hospital in Anhui province,discusses the problems of performance management in planning,implementation,feedback,application and other aspects,and puts forward optimization suggestions on the basis of cause analysis to ensure the stable implementation of hospital performance management system and maximize its effectiveness,and provides reference for other public hospitals to carry out performance management.Methods: Taking the performance management of public hospitals in China as the research background,taking the related concepts,basic theories of performance management and the commonly used methods of performance evaluation in the health system of China as the research foundation,and taking the current situation of performance management in a public hospital of Anhui province as the research object,the paper adopts the methods of literature analysis,interview,empirical research,questionnaire survey and comparative analysis,etc.Combining research methods,this paper analyses the current situation and main problems of performance management in the public hospital of Anhui province.Based on the theory of Balanced Scorecard,Objectives Management and Key Performance Indicators,and combining the advanced experience of performance management in public hospitals at home and abroad,it puts forward the optimization of performance management in the public hospital of Anhui province.Results:(1)Through interviews and questionnaires to understand the views and satisfaction of the public hospital in Anhui province on the current performance management system,it was found that the overall satisfaction of the staff of the public hospital in Anhui province to the current performance management was at a medium level,with 3.31% of them very satisfied and very dissatisfied,20.71% of them were not satisfied,56.38% of them were dissatisfied.Employees expressed general satisfaction,and 6.29% of them expressed satisfaction.(2)Through one-to-one interviews and questionnaires,it is found that there are some problems in the process of performance management in the public hospital of Anhui province,such as the lack of rigorousness in the establishment of performance indicators,the lack of impartiality in the implementation of performance,the lack of real-time feedback in performance management and the narrow application scope of performance evaluation results.(3)In view of the problems existing in the performance management of the public hospital in Anhui province,this paper makes an analysis of the causes and puts forward some suggestions for the optimization of the performance management of the public hospital in Anhui province based on the advanced experience and methods of performance management at home and abroad,including the construction of scientific and reasonable performance indicators,the establishment of employee classification performance evaluation system,the objective selection of evaluation subjects,the promotion of hospital information sharing platform,strengthening the professional quality of assessment personnel,improving the participation of the assessed,optimizing performance evaluation feedback system,and paying attention to the development of hospital culture,etc.Conclusions:Perfect performance management system is the foundation of the vigorous development of a public hospital.The vigorous development of public hospital organizations can not be separated from effective performance management.Considering the operation of public hospitals,every link of performance management needs the coordination and cooperation of various departments.Only by constantly improving the internal organization,formulating the work objectives of each department according to the performance appraisal requirements,and using the appraisal method to urge each department to complete the work according to the requirements,can the performance management system develop towards a more perfect and more suitable direction.From the perspective of optimizing the future development strategy of public hospitals,an effective organizational performance appraisal system in a public hospital is an important means to improve the motivation of organizational development,a basic requirement to ensure the sustainable development of the organization,and a direct reflection of improving the level of organizational quality development.
