ObjectiveTo develop the WeChat mini program for weight loss management of patients after bariatric surgery, and to explore the effect of the WeChat mini program in weight loss, eating behavior, physical activity and the quality of life of postoperative metabolic patients.MethodsThis study was divided into two parts.1.The fist part is the design and realization of the WeChat mini program.Firstly, the guidelines related to bariatric surgery was analyzed by using the method of 5W1 H to identify the purpose, content, time and the method of postoperative weight loss management,so as to construct a WeChat based weight loss management program.Secondly,semi-structured interviews were conducted to understand the needs and suggestions of patients, doctors and nurses on WeChat mini program, referred to the existing WeChat mini program for health management, the module structure of WeChat small program and the functions of each module were drawn up.Drafted thecontent outline and improved it through the method of expert consultation, and then collated the specific content of each module. Finally, the WeChat mini program was developed by using WeChat platform and WeChat small program development tools.2.The second part is the application of WeChat mini program in weight loss management of patients after bariatric surgery.A total of 100 patients in gastrointestinal surgery department of a third-level first-class hospital in zhengzhou were selected. The first 50 patients were selected as the control group according to the sequence of operations, and the last 50 patients were selected as the intervention group. The control group received routine postoperative management, and the intervention group received weight loss management based on WeChat small program on the basis of routine postoperative management.BMI,EWL%,the scores of the DEBQ,physical activity time, and the scores of SF-36 were collected in the two groups preoperatively and 3 months after operation. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics,Chi-square test, independent t test, paired sample t test and rank-sum test.Results1.The WeChat mini program includes health management and personal center. The health management includes five modules: health forum, condition feedback, checkup and appointment, health record, and medical team.It realizes the disease evaluation, health consultation and health intervention for patients by pushing postoperative weight loss guidance and evaluation sheet, and online doctor-patient communication. The personal center includes patient’s personal information, message list, bound device, health diary and so on.2.There were 2 patients in the control group were lost,a total of 98 subjects completed the study, including 48 in the control group and 50 in the intervention group.(1)BMI and EWL% of the two groups were compared preoperatively and 3months after operation.Independent t test showed that BMI differences of the two groups preoperatively and 3 months after operationthe, and the BMI and EWL% ofthe two groups 3 months after the operation had no statistical significance(P>0.05).Paired sample t test was used to analyze the changes of BMI of the two groups before and 3 months after surgery, and the results showed that the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)The scores of the DEBQ of the two groups were compared preoperatively and 3 months after operation. The t-test results of the two independent samples showed that the differences of DEBQ scores of the two groups preoperatively and 3months after operation, and the scores of the DEBQ of the two groups 3 months after surgery were statistically significant(P<0.05).The t-test results of paired samples showed that there was a statistically significant difference in the score of DEBQ of the intervention group before and 3 months after surgery(P<0.05).(3)Comparison of physical activity time of the two groups before and 3 months after surgery.Independent t test showed that the differences of physical activity time of the two groups preoperatively and 3 months after operation, physical activity time of the two groups 3 months after surgery were statistically significant(P<0.05).The t-test results of paired samples showed that there was a statistically significant difference in the physical activity time of the two groups before and 3 months after surgery(P<0.05).(4)Preoperative and 3 months after surgery, the SF-36 scores of the two groups were compared.Independent t test showed that the differences of SF-36 scores of the two groups preoperatively and 3 months after operation, the SF-36 scores of the two groups 3 months after surgery were statistically significant(P < 0.05).The t-test results of paired samples showed that there was a statistically significant difference in the SF-36 scores of the two groups before and 3 months after surgery(P<0.05).Conclusion1.WeChat small program for weight loss management of patients after metabolic surgery has the advantages of short development cycle and low cost, which have rich functions and easy to operation. There will be certain practical value in the fields of mobile health care.2.Weight loss management of postoperative patients based on WeChat small program can improve patients’ eating behavior, physical activity level and patients’ quality of life.
