Objectives : To study the expression of interleukin 13(IL-13),interleukin 10(IL-10),and c-reactive protein(CRP)of the acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD)patients, observe the change of the IL-13,IL-10,CRP,pulmonary function,CAT scores of AECOPD patients before and after the treatment of N-acetyl cysteine(NAC),to explore its clinical value. Methods:Total of 60 AECOPD patients and 30 healthy subjects admitted to the second department of respiratory medicine of the Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University of Engineering from January 2018 to February 2019 were included in the study. All patients were randomly divided into control group(n=30)and experimental group(n=30),and healthy subjects were selected as healthy group(n=30).Patients in the experimental group and the control group were given oxygen therapy, local or systemic application of bronchodilators, and antibiotics. In the experimental group,Acetylcysteine Effervescent Tablets were taken orally for 600 mg twice a day for 14 days.Patients in the experimental group and the control group were assessed on the day of admission and14 days after treatment with CAT score and lung function examination, respectively, the serum CRP,IL-10 and IL-13 concentrations were detected. The healthy group received lung function examination on the day of physical examination, and blood sampling was conducted to detect CRP,IL-10 and IL-13.To observe the effect of NAC on serum IL-10,IL-13,CRP,CAT score and lung function in patients with AECOPD.Results: The serum IL-10 level of the experimental group and the control group before treatment was significantly lower than that of the healthy group(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).After treatment, the IL-10 level in the experimental group and the control group was higher than that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the increase was more obviously in the experimental group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The IL-10 level in the experimental group was closer to that in the healthy group.Serum IL-13 and CRP levels in the experimental group and the control group before treatment were significantly higher than those of the healthy group(P<0.05),while serum IL-13 and CRP levels of the experimental group and the control group showed no significantdifference(P>0.05).After treatment, the IL-13 and CRP level in the experimental group and the control group were lower than that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the IL-13 and CRP level in the experimental group were significantly lower, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The IL-13 and CRP level in the experimental group were closer to that in the healthy group. There was no significant difference in CAT score between the experimental group and the control group before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the CAT scores of patients in the experimental group and the control group were significantly decreased compared with those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in CAT scores between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in FVC and FEV1 between the experimental group and the control group before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of FVC and FEV1 in the experimental group and the control group were significantly higher than those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the levels of FVC and FEV1 between the experimental group and the control group after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusions:Before treatment, the levels of IL-10 in the experimental group and the control group were decreased, while the levels of IL-13 and CRP were increased. Both groups are with poor lung function and high CAT score. After the treatment, the level of IL-10 increased significantly, while the levels of IL-13 and CRP decreased, the lung function and CAT score improved significantly.NAC can reduce IL-13 and CRP levels and increase IL-10 levels in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease to a certain extent.
