Clinical Study On Acupuncture At “wuxin Acupoint” For The Treatment Of Insomnia(liver Stagnation And Fire Type )

Objective The objective of this study is to observe the clinical effect of acupuncture at“Wuxin acupoint” for the treatment of insomnia(liver-stagnation and fire-type),and to explore the mechanism of acupuncture at “Wuxin acupoint” in the treatment of insomnia(liverstangnation and fire-type),and to understand the degree of improvement of its sleep quality and anxiety in the state.Method Sixty patients with liver-stagnation type insomnia who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups: the treatment group(acupuncture group)and the control group(Western medicine group).The treatment group was treated with acupuncture at“Wuxin acupoint” and the control group was treated with Estazolam.Under the premise that there was no significant difference in gender,age and mean disease duration between the two groups of patients,The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)scale,the Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)score and the scores were compared before and after treatment.Result(1)The total scores of PSQI before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.It was found that the two groups had good curative effect on treating liver-stagnation and fire-type insomnia.(2)The various scores of PSQI after treatment were compared between the two groups.The treatment group was better than the control group in improving sleep disturbance and daytime function,and the scores of daytime functional items were P<0.01,and the treatment group had more obvious improvement.(3)From the two points of SAS before and after treatment,both groups effectively relieved the patient’s anxiety.(4)By comparing the total scores of SAS after treatment in the two groups,P < 0.01,the treatment group significantly improved the anxiety state of the patients.Conclusion The treatment of acupuncture at “Wuxin acupoint” can effectively improve the sleep quality of patients with liver-stagnation and fire-type insomnia,especially in thetreatment of less sleep disorders,recovery of daytime function and relief of anxiety.
