With the emergence of organ transplantation technology in the mid-20 th century, medical pioneers have broken through the traditional medical treatment and improved surgical operations, turning resection to replacement, which creates a new treatment model for patients with organ failure and marks a milestone in the field of biomedicine. With the improvement of surgical operations, the invention of immunosuppressive drugs, the maturity of organ separation and preservation technology, and the development of immunosuppressive technology, organ transplantation technology has been well established, which makes it become a routine treatment for patients with end-stage organ failure. The cause of deceased organ donation in China started late but has developed rapidly.Especially since the deceased organ donation by citizens was set by law as the only legal way of organ donation in China in 2015,the number of deceased organ donation has increased year by year, making China the second largest organ donor country in the world. The increase in the number of deceased organ donation has not brought about the corresponding quality of deceased organ donation. The number of deceased organ donation has greatly increased, but the rate of deceased organ donation in China is still in a rather backward position. The quantity of deceased organ donation is far from meeting the urgent demand for organ resources, which seriously affects the development of deceased organ donation of our country. In order to get rid of the ethical dilemma of deceased organ donation in China, this paper starts from the basic status of deceased organ donation in China, and discusses the ethical basis of deceased organ donation from three dimensions: utilitarianism, morality and virtue. The attributes of the organs involved in the process of organ donation, the rationality of special groups as donors, the utility value of recipients, and the alienation of organ transplantation techniques are reviewed. In order to explore the ethical dilemma of deceased organ donation in China, this paper, with the survey on "public awareness and willingness of deceased organ donation" in the form of questionnaire on a new media platform, analyses the results of the questionnaire, combs the status quo of deceased organ donation in China, and combines the relevant theories of bioethics. Finally, the conclusion is reached that there are 4 kinds of ethical dilemma that influences the deceased organ donation in China: the restriction of traditional ethics, the standard of death determination, the model of donation consent and the lack of reliable donation environment. In view of the above ethical dilemma, this paper gives some solutions: putting forward the principles of respecting human beings, impartiality and benefit as the theoretical basis of our country’s deceased organ donation, advocating the ethical concept of continuation of life and glory of organ donation, calling for brain death legislation to expand the source of organ donors, promoting presumed consent and attaching importance to the role of coordinators, and strictly executing ethical review to establish reliable donation environment. The rapid development of organ transplantation technology has not brought great curative effect, and the number of organ donation in China is far from meeting the demand.Technology,as a tool, cannot be considered good or bad,but the application brings a series of unavoidable ethical problems. We should keep a prudent attitude and strictly abide by ethical principles, overcome the ethical dilemma faced by organ donation, safeguard human dignity, rationally distribute medical resources, promote justice and fairness,so that organ transplantation technology can play a better role in saving human lives and promoting the survival and development of humans.
