Objective:Through sorting out the related articles of external treatment in ancient literature,the characteristics of drug selection were summarized.Methods: Based on the "Chinese medical dictionary"(fifth edition),it mainly searched the source,collected relevant articles,set up the database,and summarized and analyzed with Microsoft Office Excel software.Results: It involved 122 ancient books and 509 articles,including 327 articles about acupoints and 173 about herbs.These books contain 48 acupoints,mainly distributed in the chest,abdomen,and back waist,which distribute in conception vessel,urinary bladder channel of foot taiyang(UB),spleen channel of foot taiyin(Sp),liver channel of foot jueyin(Liv);The rendezvous acupoints,the back Shu points and the front-mu points are mainly selected.The application of acupoints are mostly on zhong ji(RN3),guan yuan(RN4),dai mai(GB26),qi hai(RN6).Drug external treatment involved 331 kinds of drugs,a total of 21 classes,making up for virtual medicine,thermo medicine,insect poison antipruritic,promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis drugs,nourish and heat drugs are given priority to,including lateral root,dried ginger,alum,common cnidium fruit,frankincense,bitter almond,musk,angelica dahurica,angelica.The sexual and flavor of 16 herbs are sheen and warm,including liver,spleen,kidney meridian.Conclusion: This paper analyzes the characteristics of choosing acupoints and herbs in the treatment of the disease and has certain reference value to modern clinic.
