ObjectiveThis study applied Chinese medicine umbilical therapy to intervene the abdominal distension after lumbar operation,and observed the effect of Chinese medicine umbilical application on the occurrence and development of abdominal distension after lumbar surgery,so as to provide reference for the application of TCM nursing technology in rapid rehabilitation after lumbar operation.MethodsFrom January 2017 to January 2018,Selected 94 cases of patients that conform to the study inclusion criteria.The included patients were numbered in the order of hospitalization,and were divided into observation group and control group by random number method,the number of cases of 1: 1,47 cases in each group.The control group treated with routine treatment and nursing after lumbar surgery,the observation group on the basis of the control group implemented the umbilical therapy of traditional Chinese medicine to prevent or reduce postoperative abdominal distention.Recording two groups of patients with postoperative recovery time of bowel sound,the first independent exhaust and defecation,abdominal distension,symptom score,evaluation for the efficacy of TCM symptoms.The collected data were input into the computer,and the results were analyzed by statistics software SPSS17.0.ResultsDuring the study,2 patients in the observation group had not been put out according to the requirements.The control group dropped out of 1 case because of incomplete treatment and transferred to other department,1 case was eliminated because of incomplete data collection,and 90 effective cases were collected.45 cases in each group were collected.1.Before intervention : There was no significant difference between the observation group and the control group in the sex,age,culture,occupation,the name of the diagnosis of disease,the time of operation,the payment of medical expenses and the symptom score before intervention(P>0.05),and the data of the two groups were comparable.2.After intervention,Two groups of postoperative bowel sounds recovered to normal time compared,the average of the control group was(24.8 ±9.44)h,the average of the observation group was(17.8 ± 6.48)h;Comparison of the first exhaust time after operation in two groups,the average of the control group was(38.41 ±10.98)h,the average of the observation group was(30.94 ± 9.65)h;Comparison of the first defecation time after operation in two groups,the average of the control group was(100.97 ±6.31)h,the average of the observation group was(80.66 ±6.54)h;The observation group of patients with postoperative recovery time of bowel sounds,the first exhaust time,first defecation time were earlier than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.After intervention,compared two groups of patients with abdominal distension after treatment.In the control group,7 cases had no abdominal distension,13 cases had mild abdominal distension,17 cases had moderate abdominal distension,and 8 cases had severe abdominal distension.In the observation group,20 cases had no abdominal distension,14 cases had mild abdominal distension,7 cases had moderate abdominal distension,and 4 cases had severe abdominal distension,two groups test with(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.4.After intervention,there were significant differences in symptom scores between the observation group and the control group at all time points(P< 0.01).The symptom scores of the two groups decreased with time.There was a significant difference in symptom scores between the observation group and the control group at 24 hours,48 hours,96 hours after operation(P< 0.01),and the score of the observation group decreased faster than that of the control group.5.After intervention,the clinical efficacy of two groups of patients were observed,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion1.The traditional Chinese medicine method can effectively reduce the degree of abdominal distention,prevent the occurrence of constipation,and promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function,the curative effect is remarkable.2.The application of Chinese medicine to umbilicus was effective in preventing abdominal distention after lumbar surgery,reducing the score of TCM syndrome,and was conducive to postoperative rehabilitation.3.The traditional Chinese medicine umbilicus therapy had the characteristics of simple,convenient,easy,cheap and no toxic side effects,painless and so on.The patient compliance was good and it had high clinical value in the prevention and treatment of abdominal distention after the lumbar operation.It was worth popularizing and applying.
