The Essence And Cultural Origin Of The Three Yin And Three Yang In The Treatise On Cold Damage Diseases

Objective:Taking the Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases and Chinese traditional Culture as the research object,using the books before the Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases and combining the exposition of the three Yin and three Yang in the Huangdi’s Internal Classic,from a new angle of view,to explore the cultural origin and essence of the three Yin and three Yang.The purpose is to clarify the specific meaning of the three Yin and three Yang,and to understand the discussion of the three Yin and three Yang in the Theory of the Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases with the specific meaning of the three Yin and three Yang,so as to better understand the theory of the Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases.Only by deeply understanding the three Yin and three Yang,can we use the syndrome differentiation of the three Yin and three Yang accurately,and use the prescriptions more accurately in order to improve the clinical curative effect.Methods:By using the method of literature research,the author looks up the records of Yin and Yang in the ancient literature,collects the articles on the differentiation of the three Yin and three Yang and the three Yin and three Yang Patter Identification in recent years,then combs and sums up,and tries to have a clearer understanding of the three Yin and three Yang.Results:1 Most doctors have no objection to the order of the Greater Yang Pattern,Yang Brightness Pattern,Less Yang Pattern,the Greater Yin Pattern,Lesser Yin Pattern,and the Reverting Yin Pattern in the Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases,that is,they agree that the order of the three Yin and three Yang in the Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases is the Greater Yang Pattern,Yang Brightness Pattern,Less Yang Pattern,the Greater Yin Pattern,Lesser Yin Pattern,and the Reverting Yin Pattern.And the Taiyin in the three Yin is three Yin,Shaoyin is two Yin,Jueyin is one Yin which is also consistent.The problem lies in the understanding of the three Yang.Some think Taiyang is three Yang,some think Yangming is three Yang,each say their own truth.But all of them can’t explain: Tianyuanji Dalunpian says“What do you mean by saying that Qi(air)fluctuates in quantily and Xing(form)varies in development?” “Yinqi and Yangqi vary in quantity.That is why there are three Yin and Yang.” Zhizhenyao Dalunpian say,“This is due to the fact that ] Qi [ of Yin and Yang ] are different in quantity and functions”.Because of the different understanding of the three Yin and three Yang in the Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases,many doctors hold their own opinions and discuss this from different aspects and different angles.Through careful analysis,we can see that the understanding of Tai,Shao,Ming and Jue is basically the same.Namely: “too,big also.” “if later generations say too much and think that they have not done enough,they will say Tai.” “Ming is brightest.” Yangming is the most prominent and brightest Yang.“Shao,is not more.Not much is small,so ancient times Shao small is the same.”Jue: “short.” Taiyang and Taiyin can be understood as the big Yang and the big Yin respectively.Shaoyin,Shaoyang,respectively can be understood as Yin less,Yang less.Yangming can be understood as the brightest yang,Most prominent.Jueyin can be understood as that Yin Qi is scarce to the extreme.Huangdi’s Internal Classic say,“The sun belongs to Yang while the moon to Yin.” Huangdi asked,“what does Yangming means?” Qibo answered,“ [ It means ] the brightness [ made by ]combination of double Yang(Taiyang and Shaoyang).” He,there is a common meaning.Yangming is about Taiyang and Shaoyang.The author thinks that double Yang refers to Taiyang and Shaoyang,which can be understood as Taiyang and Shaoyang together.“Huangdi asked,‘What does Jueyin means?’ Qibo answered,‘ [ It means ] the emergence of double Yin(Taiyin and Shaoyin).”Jiao,have together,mean at the same time,double Yin means Taiyi Shaoyin.The author believes that “double Yin to do” is Taiyin and Shaoyin “both disappear.” Because Chinese medicine pays particular attention to observing astronomy,overlooking geography,and knowing people in the sky and human beings,combined with Li Zi Tang to ask the two Children’s argument Day,the sun in the morning and at noon gives people the feeling that the sun is big in the morning,but it is not bright at noon.The sun is smaller at noon,but hotter than it is in the morning.By generalizing this description,it can be concluded that the sun and the moon bring different vision and temperature to people in different time periods,which is the essential source of the three Yin and three Yang.2 On the Taiyang,Yangming,Shaoyang,Taiyin,Shaoyin and Jueyin,in which,when referring to “talking about his own seeing” and “the preface to the Heaven”,he discussed Taiyang,Yangming,Shaoyang,Taiyin,Shaoyin,Jueyin.One is to stay in the south,the other is to face the north.The south and the north are just opposite,just understand one,the other two words in exchange for the “seeing” to understand.Taiyang Yangming,Shaoyang,Taiyin,Shaoyin,Jueyin,in accordance with the counter-clockwise direction,the three Yin and three Yang,that is,the sun and the moon between day and night Changes in the sky.In this way,the essence of the three Yin and three Yang can be clearly expressed as the description and generalization of the different visual and warm feelings given by the sun and the moon at different times.It is meaningful to understand the meaning of three Yin and three Yang,if it can help to understand the exposition of Yin and Yang in traditional Chinese medicine books.With our understanding of the three Yin and three Yang,to explain the “left”,“right”,“upper” and “lower” see in the Wuyunxing Dalunpian and Liuweizhi Dalunpian,we can not only understand why there is such a position relationship between them.At the same time,it can be confirmed that “What are the states of motion and motionlessness?” and Qibo answered,“The Upper(the heavens)moves [ in the direction of ] the right while the Lower(the earth)moves [ in the direction of ] the right while the Lower(the earth)moves [ in the direction of ] the left.After one cycle [ of movement ],the left and the right meet again [ at the point where they have started their movement ].” The meetingtell us to tie Taiyang Yangming Shaoyang Taiyin Shaoyin Jueyin to a circle.The rest of the meeting means that Taiyang,Yangming,Shaoyang,Taiyin,Shaoyin,Jueyin connected to each other,forming a ring.Our life experiences and observations have been able to give us an answer.Tianyuanji Dalunpian say,“What do you mean by saying that Qi(air)fluctuates in quantily and Xing(form)varies in development? Gui Yuqu answered,“Yinqi and Yangqi vary in quantity.That is why there are three Yin and Yang.” Zhizhenyao Dalunpian say,“I’d like to know [ why ] Yin and Yang [ are divided into ] three [ respectively ]? Qibo answered,‘This is due to the fact that ] Qi [ of Yin and Yang ] are different in quantity and functions.”Conclusion:To sum up,the essence of the three Yin and three Yang is to describe and generalize the different visual and warm feelings given by the sun and moon in the sky at different times.
