Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of MEBO,berberine hydrochloride oil and tacrolimus ointment in the treatment of facial corticosteroid addictive dermatitis, and to objectively evaluate the improvement of skin lesions and the repair of skin barrier function by VISIA facial image analysis system and skin function test,so as to provide a safe and effective treatment for facial corticosteroid addictive dermatitis. Methods: 126 patients with facial corticosteroid addictive dermatitis were randomly divided into MEBO group, berberine hydrochloride oil group and control group,42 cases in each group.Berberine hydrochloride oil group was given berberine hydrochloride oil for external use;MEBO group was given MEBO moist burn ointment for external use;and control group was given 0.03% tacrolimus ointment for external use.All three groups were given 8.8 mg of desloratadine citrate cisodium tablets and boric acid solution and silicone cream for external use.The patients were treated for 7 days,14 days,1 month and 3 months after initial consultation and treatment. The same researcher treated the self-conscious symptoms(burning, itching, pain, tension)and objective symptoms(erythema, scaling, pigmentation, telangiectasis, acne, papules, swelling)of the three groups by the same researcher. The physiological function of skin was tested before treatment and 1 month after treatment to record the scores of moisture, water loss and grease. The characteristics of spots, wrinkles, textures, pore, ultraviolet rays, color spots, brown spots,Red areas and purple substance were measured by VISIA skin image analyzer.Follow-up was conducted in the third month to observe the condition of the three groups, record adverse reactions and exfoliated samples, and collate all clinical data with Excel 2013 software, using SPSS23.0 software for statistical analysis.Result: In the course of observing 126 cases,9 cases fell off,38 cases in berberine hydrochloride oil group,40 cases in MEBO group and 39 cases in control group. After one month of treatment, the total effective rate of 40 patients in ME group was 97.5%,38 patients in berberine hydrochloride oil group was 97.4%,and 39 patients in control group was 87.2%.After 3 months of treatment,follow-up showed that there was no recurrence of symptoms in MEBO group and berberine hydrochloride oil group, and 1 case in control group(2.56%)had recurrence of symptoms. In terms of symptom scores, according to the statistical results, there were significant differences among the three groups on the 7th,14 th and 1st month after treatment, and the symptoms were significantly improved in the MEBO group and the berberine hydrochloride oil group, which were superior to the control group.Statistical analysis of VISIA skin tester showed that there were significant differences in the counting of spots and red areas among the three groups.Statistical analysis of skin function tester showed that MEBO group and berberine hydrochloride oil group had obvious effects on controlling skin surface water loss, increasing cuticle water content and improving skin oil distribution, which were superior to the control group. It can be concluded that MEBO group and berberine hydrochloride oil group have better effects on controlling inflammation and repairing skin barrier function than control group.Follow-up 3 months after treatment showed that no symptoms recurred in the MEBO group and berberine hydrochloride oil group, and 1 cases in the control group. There were noobvious adverse reactions in the MEBO group and berberine hydrochloride oil group. In the control group,3 patients had burning sensation and itching on the first day of medication, without special treatment, continued medication, and all the uncomfortable symptoms disappeared within 1 week. Conclusion: MEBO and berberine hydrochloride oil have similar efficacy in the treatment of facial corticosteroid addictive dermatitis. They have definite curative effect. They have a certain function of skin barrier repair. They have no obvious adverse reactions and high safety.Their comprehensive curative effect is superior to tacrolimus ointment. They are worthy of clinical promotion.
