Clinical Observation Of Taohong Siwu Decoction Combined With Fire Acupuncture In Treating Qi And Blood Stasis Type Vitiligo

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Taohong Siwu Decoction combined with fire needle in the treatment of qi stagnation and blood stasis type vitiligo,and to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture combined with medicine.Methods : A randomized controlled trial was performed to classify 105 patients with qi stagnation and blood stasis type vitiligo who were eligible for inclusion in the treatment group,control group I,and control group II,with 35 cases in each group.The treatment group was treated with Taohong Siwu Decoction and combined with fire needle.The control group I was treated with Taohong Siwu Decoction and the control group II was treated with simple fire needle.The course of treatment was 12 weeks.The leukoplakia area was recorded and the leukoplakia color was evaluated at the 4th,8th,and12 th week of the treatment.The TCM syndrome scores and skin diseases were measured before and after 12 weeks of treatment.The Quality of Life Index(DLQI)score was evaluated.During the treatment,pay attention to the possible adverse reactions of each group of patients,and return to visit 90 days after the end of the treatment to understand the patient’s recurrence.Result:1.There were 5 cases of shedding in this study.The actual number of completed cases was 100(34 in the treatment group,33 in the control group I,and 33 in the control group II).There were no significant differences ingender,age,and duration of disease between the three groups(P>0.05),which were comparable.2.Comparison of clinical efficacy: According to the change of the size of the white spot,the clinical efficacy was evaluated.After 4 weeks of treatment,the total effective rate was 44.11% in the treatment group,27.27% in the control group I,and 33.33% in the control group II.There was no statistically significant difference in the total effective rate between the three groups(P>0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment,the total effective rate was 70.58% in the treatment group,39.39% in the control group I,and 45.45% in the control group II.The treatment group was statistically significant compared with the control group I and the control group II(P <0.05);There was no significant difference in the efficacy between the control group I and the control group(P>0.05).After 12 weeks of treatment,the total effective rate was 91.17% in the treatment group,60.60% in the control group I,and 66.66% in the control group.The statistical analysis of the total effective rate between the groups was consistent with the results after 8 weeks of treatment.3.Comparison of TCM syndrome scores: After 12 weeks of treatment,the TCM syndrome scores of the three groups decreased,and there were differences between the groups(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference between the TCM syndrome scores in the treatment group and the control group I and the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the TCM syndrome score between the control group I and the control group II(P>0.05).).4.Comparison of dermatological quality of life index(DLQI): After 12 weeks of treatment,the DLQI scores of the three groups decreased,and there were significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05).There was significant difference in DLQI score between the treatment group and thecontrol group I and the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the DLQI score between the control group I and the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion: Taohong Siwu Decoction combined with fire needle has a definite clinical effect in treating qi stagnation and blood stasis type vitiligo.It is better than simple oral Taohong Siwu Decoction in improving the skin lesion area,TCM syndrome and skin disease quality index.Fire needle,and no obvious adverse reactions,it is worth further clinical promotion.
