Objective: To study Liu Chun’s Academic Origin,innovative medical thoughts and treatment experience,inheritance and elucidation of his predecessors’ academic ideas,and characteristic prescription strategies through reading his books,and refines the main characteristics of Liu Chun’s medical thoughts.Methods: 1.Using data mining method to analyze the citation of YuJi WeiYi in order to reflect the origin of Liu Chun’s academic thought more objectively and provide some reference for the follow-up research.2.By using the method of paleography and taking Liu Chun’s Medical Pandect as the firsthand data,and referring to Liu Chun’s life,works and academic origins,this paper studies Liu Chun’s innovative medical thoughts and treatment experience,inheritance and elucidation of his predecessors’ academic ideas,and characteristic prescription strategies.3.Summarize the above research results and refines the main characteristics of Liu Chun’s medical thought.Results: 1.through the analysis of the results of data mining,we can draw the conclusion that Liu Chun’s academic thought origin is based on Huangdi’s Classic as the basis for treating diseases,inheriting theessence of Zhu Danxi thought,and blending the essence of Tang Dynasty,Song Dynasty,Jin Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty’s medical thought.2.Liu Chun’s main clinical experience includes five aspects:rigorous use of tonics through the analysis of disease mechanism,treatment of exogenous and intrinsic causes of beriberi from the differences between the south and the north,reversal of illness by using drugs with strong effects,discuss the application of prescription from compatibility and dosage,and direct administration by external treatment.3.Liu Chun’s inheritance and elucidation of his predecessors’ academic thoughts are mainly embodied in three aspects:inheriting Liu Wansu’s and Li Dongyuan’s medical thoughts,discussing matters needing attention in the treatment of edema,annotating the concept of "seven hernias" in Huangdi’s Classic with reference to Zhang Congzheng’s medical thoughts,and interpreting the bacterial diseases in modern medical concepts as wind pathogens.4.The application experience of Liu Chun’s characteristic prescriptions and medicines is listed in the part,including the method of using “Buzhong Yiqi” decoction according to disease,the therapeutic effect of "Xianren Pill" prescription through defecation and sweating,the use of "Xiaoyi Membrane" prescriptions for regulating profit and loss,and the external therapeutic effect of "Zhitiao Powder" prescriptionConclusion: Based on the above summary of Liu Chun’s medicalthoughts,we can conclude that the main characteristics of Liu Chun’s medical thoughts include integrating the similarities and differences of various schools of thought,maintaining healthy Qi as the basis,coordinating the operation of Qi as the priority,and studying the new use of old prescriptions.Liu Chun collated and synthesized the medical thoughts of various schools before the Ming Dynasty,and with his rigorous and sincere attitude of scholarly research,he integrated inheritance,elucidation and criticism of various medical thoughts he met,combined with his own thinking and practice,summed up a more scientific and reasonable clinical application value,which not only enriched the theoretical connotation of previous scholars,but also enriched the continuing research for future generations.Therefore,Liu Chun’s medical thought has important research value in the clinical and history of traditional Chinese medicine and other related fields.
