Epidemiological Characteristics And Etiology Surveillance Of Hand-foot-mouth Disease In Wuhu City From 2015 To 2017 | Posted on:2019-08-12 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:F Tong | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2404330572459726 | Subject:Public Health | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Objective 1 The epidemiological characteristics of hand-foot-mouth disease in Wuhu City from 2015 to 2017 were analyzed, including the time distribution, regional distribution and population distribution characteristics of severe cases.2.The pathogenic characteristics of hand-foot-mouth disease in Wuhu City during 2015—2017 and its relationship with clinical manifestations were analyzed.3.Through the above research,it provides a basis for the prevention and control of hand, foot and mouth disease in Wuhu area. Methods The infectious disease report information management system was used to collect the data on the incidence of hand, foot and mouth disease in Wuhu City from2015 to 2017,and the epidemiological methods were used to describe the epidemiological data and the pathological data of some cases. The Real time RT-PCR method was used.Intestinal viral nucleic acid was detected in some cases of hand, foot and mouth disease. Results In 2015—2017,there were 13886 cases of hand-foot-mouth disease reported in Wuhu City, with an average annual incidence rate of 1238.9 per million, and 27 cases of severe cases. The severe rate was 1.94‰,and no deaths were reported. The average incidence rate is decreasing year by year(χ~2trend=146.01,P<0.01).The two peak incidences are the spring and summer peaks from April to July and the autumn and winter peaks from October to December. The incidence of high population density is higher than that of counties with low population density. The difference is statistically significant.Significance;male incidence rate is higher than female, the difference is statistically significant, the incidence of scattered children aged 5 years and younger and young children are mainly children, severe cases are concentrated in children 2 years old and younger;the positive rate of pathogen detection is 69.64%Among the laboratory confirmed cases,EV71 accounted for 25.25%,CoxA16 accounted for29.06%;with the increase of the number of days from the onset to the sampling interval, the positive rate of pathogen detection in HFMD cases showed a gradual decline(χ~2trend=61.04,P<0.01);the case with oral ulcer/herpes symptoms was positive. The rate was higher than that of asymptomatic patients, and the difference is statistically significant.Hospitalization and onset to sampling interval are factors influencing the positive detection of pathogens. Conclusion The incidence of hand, foot and mouth disease in Wuhu City showed a downward trend year by year, but the overall incidence rate was still at a high level, and the time distribution, regional distribution and population distribution characteristics were significant. In the future, efforts should be made to prevent and control the incidence peaks in autumn and winter. The municipal districts with high population density are the key prevention and control areas, and scattered children aged 3 and below are the key population.Continue to strengthen the surveillance of hand, foot and mouth disease and pathogen monitoring, collect case specimens within 3 days of onset, and increase the positive rate of pathogen detection;other enteric viruses gradually replace EV71 and Cox A16 into dominant serotypes, which should be strengthened Further typing of enteroviruses. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Hand-foot-and-mouth disease, Descriptive epidemiology, Etiology, Enterovirus 71, Coxsackie virus A16 | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
