Objective:The aim of this study is to compare the clinical efficacy of pulpotomy with iRoot BP Plus and calcium hydroxide(CH)in immature teeth with complicated crown fracture and evaluate the performance of iRoot BP Plus in clinical.At the same time,compare the effect of different exposed size and different exposure time in 7 days of young permanent teeth after pulpotomy.Methods:Thirty-three immature permanent teeth with complicated crown fracture were included and record the status of the teeth in detail.The tooth were divided into two groups:iRoot BP Plus group(15),and CH group(18).All the tooth was local infiltration anaesthetized with altrecaine adrenaline,the exposed surfaces were washed with physiological saline,then isolated with rubber dam.Crown pulp tissue was removed to a depth of 2 mm beneath the fracture using an air high speed handpiece with round bur which were all sterilized.The pulp chamber was irrigated with sterile saline solution and 3% sodium hypochlorite solution alternately in order to remove any tissue tags and get a Hemostasis.A layer of iRoot BP Plus and CH was applied on the pulp surface respectively before the cavity was filled with a light layer of fluid resin.Then,cavity was restored with Glass ionomer cement temporarily.After two asymptomatic weeks,the cavity can be restored with resin composite.Clinical and radiographic evaluation was recorded at 1、3、6、12 months postoperatively.All statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS 23.0 statistical package.The datas were compared and evaluated by Fisher probabilities test.Results:After 1 year,the survival rate of the pulp in iRoot BP Plus group was 93.3%,which was 88.9% in CH group.while there was no significant difference between two group(P = 0.570).the survival rates of the pulp with different exposed time(≤24h,24h-168h)in both iRoot BP Plus group and CH group were no significant difference(P = 0.733,P=0.641).the survival rates of the pulp with different exposed diameter(≤1mm,>1mm)in both iRoot BP Plus group and CH group were no significant difference(P=0.800,P=0.490)Conclusion:IRoot BP Plus is excellent pulp capping material for partial pulpotomy,the clinical effect is similar to CH in one year.The success rate of partial pulpotomy after complicated crown fracture has no concern with different exposed time within seven days.The success rate of partial pulpotomy after complicated crown fracture has no relation to different exposed size. |
