Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Gouty Arthritis At Non-acute Phase By Gout No.1 Prescription

Objective:To study the curative effect of Gout No.1 prescription in treating gouty arthritis in non-acute phase and the reduction of side effects and recurrence rate of western medicine by comparing with conventional western medicine.And to explore the mechanism of its action.Methods:In this study,90 patients with gouty arthritis in non-acute phase were randomly divided into treatment group(n = 45)and control group(n = 45).Both groups were treated with Febuxostat tablets and sodium bicarbonate tablets orally,while the treatment group added Gout No.1 prescription on the basis of the control group.The course of treatment was 12 weeks.The TCM syndromes score,the changes of serum uric acid and the status of reaching the standard,adverse reactions and recurrence were observed in the two groups.Application of statistical software for data analysis.Results:(1)There were 5 cases of shedding,85 cases of final entry,42 cases of treatment group and 43 cases of control group.(2)The difference of curative effect in TCM syndrome was statistically significant(P<0.05)with treatment group was 85.71% and 65.12% for the control group.(3)IN terms of the total integral of TCM syndromes,there was significant difference(P<0.01)before and after treatment in the treatment group,but there was no significant difference(P>0.05)in the control group.There was a significant difference(P<0.01)between the two groups after treatment.(4)IN terms of the each TCM syndromes score,the difference of every TCM syndrome score before and after treatment in the treatment group was significant(P<0.01).The scores of joint pain and joint swelling after treatment in the control group were significantly lower than those before treatment,there was significant difference(P<0.01),but there was no significant difference(P>0.05)in the scores of fatigue,pain of waist and knee and abdominal distension.After treatment,there were significant differences(P<0.01)in the scores of fatigue,pain of waist and knee and abdominal distentionbetween the two groups.(5)IN terms of the decrease of SUA level,compared with before treatment,both groups could significantly reduce SUA level,there was significant difference(P< 0.01).There were statistically significant(P<0.05)in SUA level between the two groups after 8 weeks,10 weeks and 12 weeks of treatment.(6)After 12 weeks of treatment,the rate of SUA in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(7)The difference of adverse reactions was statistically significant(P<0.05)between the two groups,which was lower in the treatment group than in the control group.(8)There was statistically significant(P<0.05)in recurrence rate between the two groups,and the treatment group was lower than the control group.Conclusion:(1)Gout No.1 prescription can improve the efficacy of western medicine in treating gouty arthritis at non-acute phase,and can reduce the side effect and recurrence rate of western medicine alone.(2)Gout No.1 prescription can obviously improve the syndromes of gouty arthritis in non-acute phase.(3)Dispelling dampness and turbidity,tonifying spleen and kidney and promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis can be regarded as the important principle of treating this disease.
