| Objective:The clinical efficacy and safety of acupuncture “Baihui eight array” method were evaluated with the carrier of non-aura migraine with hyperactivity of liver-yang,which provided a new and simple way to treat the non-aura migraine with acupuncture and moxibustion for clinical treatment. Methods:Patients who met the test criteria were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 36 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with acupuncture at “Baihui eight array” points and the control group with routine acupuncture points. Each course was treated for 5 days, with an interval of 2 days between the two courses. The observation period was 8 weeks, including 4 weeks of treatment and 4 weeks of follow-up.The scores of migraine attack frequency,McGill(including PRI(S),PRI(A),VAS,PPI),MSQOL and symptom grading quantitative score were used as therapeutic indices to evaluate the efficacy prior treatment, after treatment and during follow-up period.Results:1.Data of baseline period of patients in the two groups: there were no statistical differences(P>0.05)on the demographic data(age, sex)and disease related data(course of disease)between patients in the “Baihui eight array” group and the routine acupuncture group, which were comparable among the two groups. There were no significant differences between the two groups in the frequency of migraine attack, the McGill score, the MSQOL score and symptom grading quantitative score(P>0.05),which were comparable among the two groups.2.Comparison between the two groups before and after the treatment:the number of headache episodes, the scores of PRI(T),PRI(S),PRI(A),VAS,PPI,MSQOL and the symptom grading quantitative score were compared, showed that there are significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05).3.Comparison between the two groups:before and after treatment, there weresignificant differences in the number of headache attacks,PRI(S),VAS and its difference, and the difference of MSQOL(P<0.05).There were not statistically significant(P>0.05)between the two groups in the scores of PRI(T),PPI,PRI(A),symptom grading quantitative and their differences except MSQOL.The follow-up period of the two groups were compared with the scores after treatment:the differences of PRI(S)and the scrore of VAS were statistically significant(P<0.05)and there were no significant differences(P>0.05)in the number of headache episodes, the scores of PRI(T),PRI(A),PPI,MSQOL,symptom grading quantitative and their corresponding differences.4.The total effective rate of acupuncture group was 85.7,and the of routine acupuncture group was 76.5.The difference was no significant(P>0.05).5.There were no significant differences in safety and compliance between the group of “Baihui eight array” and the group of routine acupuncture(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Compared with the conventional acupuncture therapy, the acupuncture "Baihui eight array" therapy also had better clinical effect.2.Compared with the routine acupuncture, the acupuncture “Baihui eight array”therapy had advantages in the frequency of headache attack,PRI(S)score,VAS score, and MSQOL score, also was better than the conventional acupuncture therapy in the near future and in the long term.3.“Baihui eight array” acupuncture method was the same as the routine acupuncture method, there was no obvious adverse reaction in the treatment process, and patients could cooperate with the treatment and had good compliance.4.“Baihui eight array” acupuncture method was more simple and convenient than routine acupuncture method, which was worth popularizing in clinic. |
