Objective:The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the IL-8-251 and-845 polymorphism and Epstein-Barr Virus(EBV)-associated gastric cancer. Methods:In our study,we use the in situ hybridization of EBER1 to screening EBVaGC from the gastric cancer tissue.DNA was extracted from the tissue. The polymorphisms of IL-8-251A/T and-845T/C were identified by Polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP).The results were statistically analyzed to find:the relationships between the different genotypes and the occurrence and development of EBVaGC.Results:1.As to IL-8-251,the distributions of AA genotype,AT genotype and TT genotype in patients with EBVaGC、EBVnGC and healthy people have significant differences(P<0.05),Compared to carriers of IL-8-251TT genotype, the risk of EBVaGC increases in AA genotype carriers, which indicates that the polymorphism of IL-8-251 AA genotype is a susceptive factor of gastric cancer.2.As to IL-8-845,the distributions of CC genotype,AC genotype and AA genotype in patients with EBVaGC、EBVnGC and healthy people have no significant differences(P>0.05),indicating that IL-8-845 polymorphism is not related to gastric cancer.Conclusion:1.IL-8-251 gene polymorphism is related to EBVaGC.IL-8-251 AA genotype is a susceptive factor of EBVaGC.2.IL-8-845 gene polymorphism is not associated with EBVaGC.
