| Backgrounds:Human for accepting information,70%to 90%is from the visual.Recent studies have shown that Adamts-18 gene may be a new genetic eye disease related genes.Foreign research shows that Adamts-18 gene suppression(knockdown)may lead to autosomal recessive early onset severe retinal dystrophy,prompting that Adamts-18 gene may be associated with diseases of the visual system.In addition,studies have shown that some family in Saudi Arabia,ADAMTS-18 proteins may associated with hereditary disease of small cornea retinal atrophy.All of these studies suggest Adamts-18 genes in eyes may have a role in the development and the development of the body developmet.Methods:We successfully constructed Adamts-18 knockout(KO)mice,and observed the phenotypic differrences of KO and wide-type(WT)mice in eye,weight,organ coefficient,bone marrow smear and other aspects to analyze the functions of Adamt-18 gene in the process of eye and body development.Results:The preliminary study found that Adamts-18 affect the growth of the visual system in mice,the incidence in 43.48%,and present a high heterogeneity.Adamts-18 in mice also has a certain role in the development of the whole body,pathologic test showed that some mice have different levels of recession atrophy in spleen,viscera,heart,kidney.Other pathological changes such as alveolar expansion can be found in KO mice.Conclusion:Due to the pathological changes in KO mice is not 100%,so we speculated that ADAMTS-18 gene is likely to belong to the upstream regulation,through regulating downstream of a series of protein modification,degradation and refactoring,to exert its biological activities. |
