Objective :To explore the effect of uterine artery chemoembolization on surgical treatment of cervical cancer patients before operation;Clinical efficacy of interventional therapy for cervical cancer. Methods: Thirty patients with stage IIa-IIb cervical cancer between March 2014 and August 2016 in our hospital were recruited as a study group. The patients were treated with uterine artery chemoembolization and then evaluated comprehensively for cervical cancer surgery;Thirty patients undergoing direct surgical treatment during the same period were selected as controls. All patients were initially treated and had never received radiotherapy or chemotherapy before. The patients were normal in liver and renal function tests, blood tests, and electrocardiogram before treatment.Coagulation dysfunction, severe cardiopulmonary dysfunction, and iodine allergy were excluded.Analyze the short-term efficacy, tumor shrinkage, intraoperative conditions, and postoperative pathological risk factors. Results: After interventional treatment, the clinical symptoms of patients were all relieved to varying degrees, the remission rate was 100%,and the total curative effect of interventional treatment was 76.67%.The effective rate of patients in stage IIa patients was 80%,and the effective rate in patients with stage IIb was 75%.There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).After interventional treatment in the study group, the diameter of the tumor was smaller than that before interventional treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The amount of intraoperative blood loss, number of cases of parametrial infiltration, number of cases of vascular invasion, and metastasis of lymph node in the study group were all lower than those in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Although the operative time of the study group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion: Before radical operation of cervical cancer, interventional therapy can effectively reduce the size of the tumor, improve the clinical symptoms of the patients, effectively inhibit the metastasis of lymph node cancer, the vascular tumor thrombus, the intravascular infiltration, reduce the amount of intraoperative bleeding and do not increase the operation time.
