Objective: To investigate the clinical and histopathological characteristics of basal cell carcinoma(BCC)of people in Chongqing.Methods: Clinical and pathological data of BCC confirmed by 2014 to 2017.6 in The First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University were retrospectively analyzed.Results: Among 153 patients enrolled,the male /female ratio was 0.72:1.The average age was(63.40±14.71)years.Among the patients younger than 60 years who occupied 34.6%.The median of duration was 4(1.00,10.00)years.Of them 150(98%)had single BCC and 3(2%)had multiple BCCs.Histologically,nodular were most common(69.9%),followed by superficial,occupied 14.4%.The leisions of BCC were most common in head and neck.Nodular were seldomly located in trunk and extremities(12.1%),non-nodular were 30.1%.The coincidence rate of clinical and histopathological diagnosis was 81.0 %.Conclusion: Basal cell carcinoma frequently occurred in the elderly and was more common in women,The young and middle aged patients occupied relative higher proportion.The tumor has a long course and multiple BCCs cases were seldom.The tumor was mostly distributed in the head and neck and nodular were the most common pathological type.
